I came back from my first solo trip yesterday and i had a BLAST! The parks were more crowded than i expected BUT the attractions were not! It seems that the longest lines, no matter the time, were for character greetings...and even they didn't appear that long! I WALKED on Space Mountain and Splash Mountain at least a dozen times total my 6 days there. Same for ToT. Using Fastpasses, I was able to walk on Peter Pan and Soarin 5 times each, with only 5 minute waits for Toy Story. Haunted Mansion was usually a 5-10 minute wait but that's because I chose to go thru the new graveyard (more on that later). And as a single rider I was able to ride Rockin Rollercoaster and test Track over and over and over....I was able to cancel ADRs if i chose to and walk up and make new ADRs the same day for Sci-Fi, Tony's and Rose and Crown.
The Main Street Electrical parade was everything i remembered it being and brought tears to the child still inside. Mickey's Not So Scary Parade was AWESOME! That night (the 20th) i was able to ride Splash and Space as many times as i wanted!! And my Tink outfit blended right in.
My advice to you all about to go: listen to the crowd attendance predictors. They are on the mark. It said to avoid HS on Sunday the 19th and I didnt and that was the only day/night i hit lines and crowds...but even they werent that bad.
Tony's...it wasnt as awful as some reviews Ive read BUT it was average at best and not worth the cost. Sci-Fi did not disappoint. Liberty Tree is still my fav because its comfort food and relaxed. Rose and Crown was GREAT!
Now, for the questions...
Haunted mansion: When did they put in the new Graveyard Q?? I LOVED IT! It ties alot of the attraction together, and at night time its even better.
Haunted mansion II: I swear 2 years ago when i was there the new Madame Leota section had her holding a BLOODY knife and her face turning really evil. This time, no blood and her face barely changed. Has this changed because it was too scary??
Peter Pan: Through my childhood visits and my 2 in 07 and 09 the Chief ALWAYS spoke. 5 rides and the Chief never spoke! Was this done away with because he may have been offensive? After 35 years??? Or was the ride just broke in that section??
Mission: Space: Has the Orange been toned down? Or am I just too experienced a rider now to think it wasnt so intense?
Splash Mountain: Turn the water canons back on!!! It used to be my favorite ride because of the wondering...will you get soaked on this trip or the next or both? I barely got wet riding it a dozen times, and it was hot and VERY humid!! I dont care that i was wearing a white top, i needed that splash
La cava Tequila in Mexico: LOVED IT! First night in EPCOT had a Jalepeno Margarita and loved it, but still wasnt hot enough. 2nd trip there asked if they could spice it up, so the bartender made me a Habenero Margarita...my tongue is still dancing from that one!!
Karamel Kuche: YUMMMMMMMY! Had a caramel apple and caramel popcorn that were simply deeeeelish!!! And the smells from that place...heaven!
Fire away if you have any questions for an upcoming trip!!
