Back from Relaxing trip to Hilton Head

We got back from Hilton Head last night. It's a very relaxing place. We stayed in the main lodge in a 3rd floor studio. Very quiet and the balconies were huge and they had two rocking chairs and a small table.

We really enjoyed B'Lou Crabbe's magic show, puppet show, ghost stories, and Shrimp Boil dinner entertainment. He's a real asset to Hilton Head. All the cast members were really nice, too.

It was pretty hot. I think I would enjoy the fall or spring of the year. We didn't rent bikes because of the heat, but I think it would really be fun in cooler weather.

ANY time, IMHO.

It depends on what you want. Late spring is beautiful, but the ocean may still be a bit cool for swimming. The pools are great, though, because they are heated and the air temps are not TOO hot.

Summer is wonderful for swimming in the ocean and is a great time to catch HH at its touristy best. It CAN be pretty hot and humid, though. To me, sticking by the beach or a pool solves that problem quite nicely.

A lot of people like early fall, because the crowds are gone for the most part and the ocean is still warm enough for swimming.

We've been there in the winter as well, and you just have to adjust your expectations, since the beach is really only good for walking at that time of year.

Can you tell I love it there?
