We went on our first trip to WDW from Feb 15-22. We had an amazing first trip, our girls (6yo & 3.5yo) absolutely loved it. We had 6 day passes and we're able to do and see so much of each park. But there was still so much we didn't do either.

My 3.5yo favourite ride was the Cinderella's Golden Carousel, Dumbo and Peter Pan's Flight.

My 6yo favourite ride was Soarin' (Epcot), which we stood in line for almost 2 hours which was well worth it.

We were able to see a lot of the shows, The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, Fantasmic, 3 o'clock parades, the Dreams Come True show at the Castle, Pocahontas, fireworks at Magic Kingdom and Epcot. Which we all absolutely loved. We were wow'd by everything.

I just want to thank everyone for there answers, input and suggestions to all my posts when planning, our trip was perfect!

So I'm sitting here right now and trying plan our 2nd trip to Florida!

My question is:

Should we go again in February?
This is considered "Prime" time in my timeshare book and we had perfect weather on this trip, 2 hot days and the rest were sunny but the slight cool winds. It showered on us for about 15 minutes one day and then the sun came out again.

Or should we go in April?
This is consider "Value" time in my timeshare book, does anyone know why? Is the weather bad? It's not even considered "High" time.

Any info. would be greatly appreciated!!

TIA!

Hi we went for our first time May of '06 and my kids were 10, 8 and 4. Were going again this May but on the Disney cruise. May was hot but so fun! :cool1:

We've only been to WDW once in April and from what I remember the weather was fine, but of course it did still rain. Of all the times we've been to WDW I think the only times we didn't have rain were Dec. and Jan. All other months had rain. Usually about 4 p.m. Then it woudl clear out.

Welcome back! Glad you had a magical time. but I must comment. . .2 hours for soarin' you have got to be kidding! No way I could wait more than 30 minutes for any ride ever. did you get fast pass, go first thing in am?

I would definitly stick to February, just not presidents weekend. April in Disney tends to still have a lot of spring breakers so is another busy time.

I am envious of all your girly things on the agenda! I have to fight to get my DH to sit/stand still for that kind of stuff! But then again we have had 4 boys until recently and now have 2 girls too! I'm finally getting to enjoy girly things! Might even do BBB this trip.

Glad to hear you had a great trip! We have been in April and had great weather. Are you looking at April of 2008 on your timeshare info? The reason I ask is maybe April this year wasn't considered high season because Easter is in March. Next year Easter will be on April 12th and I would expect that to be high season. Otherwise I can't see any other reason why it wouldn't be high season because it is a busy time for Spring Breakers. We went the end of April and it was crowded. There were a lot of New Englanders on Spring Break as well as high school bands/tour groups. We still had a great time, used Fast Pass and got to go on most of what we wanted.

We have been twice in the end of April and the weather was amazing! Not a drop of rain either week and high 70's to low 80's and the crowds were very low. Just make sure to avoid Easter week (if it falls in April) at all costs...peak crowds!

April is nice because it's warm enough for the water parks which your kids will be perfect ages for next year.

We were there last April 24 - May 2 2007. The weather was fantastic and we couldn't have asked for better. The highs were in the upper 80's to low 90's each day. Everyday was sunny so sunscreen was a must! We didn't even have a drop of rain. The mornings were cooler usually upper 70's to low 80's so we started out in shorts and stayed that way all day. My sister was there the week before us and it was a little cooler but still nice! I would definitely go then again!

That's my favorite time. The Halloween party and decorations are so much fun, the weather is always perfect, the crowds are low, and the Food and Wine Festival is going on at Epcot so there's something special for the grown-ups to look forward to also.

If not, I'd pick April as long as it's not a holiday week.

Welcome home, and welcome to the DIS obsession. Next time you go, you'll be planning your subsequent trip on the plane ride home. :lmao:
