......it's Halloween-lo-ween ev'rybody............:rotfl2:

Absolutely loved it, although Christmas was and still is my favourite time of year Halloween is certainly now a very close second.

We travelled via Eurostar stayed Sunday-Wednesday at the Kyriad and went to the MNSSHP on Tuesday. There was myself, hubby, Ben aged 11 and Hollie aged 7.

Our second time staying at the Kyriad this time in the block next to the restaurant, room was as clean and well maintained as before, it is compact but we only use it to sleep in. The only negative thing I can say about it is that it only has the one socket which is annoying with all the gadgets you have that need to be charged!
I remember somebody saying they had also booked for here without the breakfast, (which is what we did this time as it was such a good rate), and in case people don't realise you can pay for breakfast each day as and when you require, with no need to book - it's 9 Euros per adult with children free.

It was busy but that was to be expected and we were lucky with the lovely weather, we were wrapped up well but didn't need hats or scarves etc during the day which was good.

We had so much character interaction this time it was amazing to say it was busy we weren't expecting to do this, both children had new autograph books and they are full! All the characters were brilliant with the children and particularly for Hollie as she so believes in all the magic, meeting Snow White again has really made her trip special (and funnily enough it was exactly the same SW that we met July 09!!!) Buzz has a stamp now rather than sign (which he has for us in the past). Ben has a new best friend now - Jack Skellington :rotfl2: what a brilliant character he really played the part well and spent ages fooling around with Ben, he recognised him at the party the same night and also on the parade which of course Ben now thinks is really cool!:rotfl:

We managed to go on two of the new Toystory Land rides - Slinky and RC racer but the queues for the Parachute were just too long so missed this one. Really liked the new land but think they have crammed a lot into a short space.
Whilst in the Studios Hollie was asked if she would like to be a VIP for the stars and cars parade (as she had her Tiana dress on!), we were all really excited about this as the children went into a roped off area in front of the stage but to be honest it was really disappointed as hardly any characters came to them, wonder if anybody else has experience of this? The only VIP bonus was a good view of the show!

Managed all our favourite rides - Buzz, IASW, TOT, POTC, Space Mountain etc. And saw Captain EO for the first time, which I really enjoyed but the rest of the family didn't!
We ate at Cafe Mickey and Annettes and the Pinocchio place (forget the name now), as well as McDonalds and had baguettes / snacks and gallons of hot chocolate in between:dance3:

Monday night we decided to look round 'Halloween Land' and had the place to ourselves practically, was very weird but a great photo opportunity to get the pumpkin pictures in, brilliant.
Tuesday was the MNSSHP, as it was our first time we didn't know what to expect but thoroughly enjoyed it, the shows, parades and characters were all excellent, can't believe how quick the time went. We all dressed up too. And we now have enough Haribos to last us a lifetime :rotfl2:

We have Fantasy Annual Passes and on our booklet it stated that blackout days began Wednesday 27th so we went with extra money to buy park tickets for that day - we went to buy them and were told our passes would work , so we tried and they did!, can't find the dates on the official site, has this happened to people before?:confused3 just wondered if they regularly change them? We very nearly went to the shopping outlet instead so glad we didn't:yay:

Have almost 500 photos to sort now, would really recommend if anybody is thinking of trying this time of year, we would love to go again.:cheer2:
Off to do the boring :laundy: now.

Forgot to say we saw Zinedine Zidane and Jonny Wilkinson whilst we were there - at the very beginning of the OUAD parade they were ushered through the gates with their families so they could watch 'behind the scenes' - trouble is I had the camera and didn't believe hubby, until we've come back and have seen the pics on facebook from Disney! whoops :rotfl2: Did anybody else spot them?

We got back late last night - so late in fact that I am barely functioning yet but fully agree with everything you say. Loved MNSSHP especially all the unusual characters - the Snow White old woman witch was brilliant, as was Cinderella's step mother and sisters. And we loved the Pumpkin people. We were also there late on Monday night wandering around Halloween land which was strange as it was really dark and not very well lit at all.

For the Stars n Cars parade, my daughter was dressed up as Sully that day (Monday) and they wanted her to go in the VIP area but she didn't want to. So she stayed with us and got quite a bit of attention from the characters but we did notice that the VIP area, despite what they promised, didn't get much in the way of visits from the characters. :confused3

aw we saw you , and your daughter dressed as Sulley, I said to hubby I didn't think she wanted to come across and I don't blame her, we saw Sulley give her a big hug and got her to go under the rope for a pic, brilliant, she wouldn't have got that otherwise. Brilliant costume

Aaaw, did you?! :cloud9: She got loads of attention - everyone was asking where we got it from, people wanted photos of her in it and it was so warm for her. All she had underneath it was leggings and a long sleeved T-Shirt and she was boiling! No, she was a bit tired that day - in fact we went back to the DCR after that and went back into the park about 7pm after she had crashed out for a bit.

Sulley was brilliant with her and the costume is great; we actually borrowed it from a friend. The tail was the best bit as when she ran, it swayed about. And it was so fluffy I think that is why it was so different.

I wish I'd known to look at for you - we were in the same block in the Kyriad from Mon to Thursday.

We loved MNSSHP too - we have been for the last 3 years and think this one was the best.

What were you dressed as? Perhaps we saw you.

I was a witch (of sorts :rotfl2:) black and orange with orange mickey heads on the skirt bit - and my lovely orange eyelashes :rotfl2:
Hollie was a green witch with black and green hair with mickeys on her costume.
Ben was a surgeon with a great big green nose and hat too!
Hubby was well ... not sure just had a funny tie and wig with pumpkin hat on top :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:
So quite an assortment really:rotfl2:, you weren't the family standing at the bus stop at the same time were you?

We had the Girl Guides staying on our floor - did you see them? if you didn't you would've heard them thats for sure :rotfl2:. We were in room 1045.

We were in Room 1101 - I saw the Guides and was anticipating a noisy night, but fortunately we didn't hear a thing.

I'm not sure now if we did see you. :confused3 So many people were dressed up this year - definitely many more than last year.

OMG - you were sat next to us at the Stars Cavalcade at the end of MNSSHP - right at the top of main street in the hub bit! DS was commenting on your eyelashes and saying that the girl from X-Factor should wear those!

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:that's funny, wish I had known, hope we weren't jumping up and down too much :rotfl2:, it was straight after that we got Snow White after chasing her round the square, brilliant. Going to have a look at my pics now see if you're on any of them.:rotfl2:

I was videoing it then before my damn camera decided to run out of batteries - you were to my left so I don't think you will be on mine. If I am, please don't post them :rotfl:
