......it's Halloween-lo-ween ev'rybody............
Absolutely loved it, although Christmas was and still is my favourite time of year Halloween is certainly now a very close second.
We travelled via Eurostar stayed Sunday-Wednesday at the Kyriad and went to the MNSSHP on Tuesday. There was myself, hubby, Ben aged 11 and Hollie aged 7.
Our second time staying at the Kyriad this time in the block next to the restaurant, room was as clean and well maintained as before, it is compact but we only use it to sleep in. The only negative thing I can say about it is that it only has the one socket which is annoying with all the gadgets you have that need to be charged!
I remember somebody saying they had also booked for here without the breakfast, (which is what we did this time as it was such a good rate), and in case people don't realise you can pay for breakfast each day as and when you require, with no need to book - it's 9 Euros per adult with children free.
It was busy but that was to be expected and we were lucky with the lovely weather, we were wrapped up well but didn't need hats or scarves etc during the day which was good.
We had so much character interaction this time it was amazing to say it was busy we weren't expecting to do this, both children had new autograph books and they are full! All the characters were brilliant with the children and particularly for Hollie as she so believes in all the magic, meeting Snow White again has really made her trip special (and funnily enough it was exactly the same SW that we met July 09!!!) Buzz has a stamp now rather than sign (which he has for us in the past). Ben has a new best friend now - Jack Skellington
what a brilliant character he really played the part well and spent ages fooling around with Ben, he recognised him at the party the same night and also on the parade which of course Ben now thinks is really cool!
We managed to go on two of the new Toystory Land rides - Slinky and RC racer but the queues for the Parachute were just too long so missed this one. Really liked the new land but think they have crammed a lot into a short space.
Whilst in the Studios Hollie was asked if she would like to be a VIP for the stars and cars parade (as she had her Tiana dress on!), we were all really excited about this as the children went into a roped off area in front of the stage but to be honest it was really disappointed as hardly any characters came to them, wonder if anybody else has experience of this? The only VIP bonus was a good view of the show!
Managed all our favourite rides - Buzz, IASW, TOT, POTC, Space Mountain etc. And saw Captain EO for the first time, which I really enjoyed but the rest of the family didn't!
We ate at Cafe Mickey and Annettes and the Pinocchio place (forget the name now), as well as McDonalds and had baguettes / snacks and gallons of hot chocolate in between
Monday night we decided to look round 'Halloween Land' and had the place to ourselves practically, was very weird but a great photo opportunity to get the pumpkin pictures in, brilliant.
Tuesday was the MNSSHP, as it was our first time we didn't know what to expect but thoroughly enjoyed it, the shows, parades and characters were all excellent, can't believe how quick the time went. We all dressed up too. And we now have enough Haribos to last us a lifetime
We have Fantasy Annual Passes and on our booklet it stated that blackout days began Wednesday 27th so we went with extra money to buy park tickets for that day - we went to buy them and were told our passes would work
, so we tried and they did!, can't find the dates on the official site, has this happened to people before?
just wondered if they regularly change them? We very nearly went to the shopping outlet instead so glad we didn't
Have almost 500 photos to sort now, would really recommend if anybody is thinking of trying this time of year, we would love to go again.
Off to do the boring
now.
