We had a very enjoyable couple of day's.
(really we did
)Day 1
Finally we were ready and the car was full enough for a week never mind just one night
we set off around 1ish the first stop on way was to the local camping shop as we realised we had nothing to cook on.Dh choose this small gas ring with a very small gas bottle under it,so small infact me and the kid's spent the whole journey there messing about and telling him we had no chance of cooking anything but a sausage on it.We arrived around 3.The campsite was right near the entrance to the park and had everything you would need, showers, toilets and a shop. The best thing about it i thought was they only allow families on and there's a security guard at the main gates all night.
We eventually found somewhere to pitch the tent after dh driving round the site for a good 10 mins deciding where was best
For a bank holiday it wasn't very busy. Not long after arriving the kid's were soon off playing with other kid's on the site or we decided it was time we attempted to cook something on the smallest gas ring you have ever seen.
Unfortunatly Dh had the last laugh as it made us all a lovely fried late dinner.
Just finished our food when the kid's decided to rope mum and dad into playing hide and seek with them all,
then we had a game or 2 of cricket. They eventually came in to go to bed around 10 and they slept like babies despite the rain on and off all night and the cold.Day 2,theme park.
We really had another lovely day despite the fact i spent the day in wet clothes after getting soaked on the first ride of the day, even though i had been told the night before to do this ride last.(i might learn one day)
The children we tall enough for all rides apart from one,so that was a good start.
The first stop was G force, this actually start's by going around the loop but it goes go slow to begin with you feel like you falling out of you seat.We all agreed that it's good apart from the start.Next stop was stormforce 10 it's mean't to be like a rescue mission and you get completely soaked.I had a change of clothes for the kid's but forgot about myself ,so i spent the day drip drying.
Then the kid's decided to go on a ride called Maelstrom,it's based on the swinging ships you used to get everywhere but, on this your all seated in a large circle with just over head restraint's and your legs dangling. It doesn't quite swing all the way over though, but it's does spin at the same time as swinging and is very high
I hated this as i don't deal with motion sickness very well(thats the reason i haven't done mission space yet, though i don't think i ever will) but the kid's thought it was great. They then did a few of the kid's ride but i think they found them quite boring. We had a look round the zoo and iwould have liked to spend a bit more time here but, the kid's wanted to get back to the rides.
Me and DH did Shockwave-a standing up coaster,we both thought this was excellent.
After another go on G force and a few other smaller rides we gave the kid's the choice to pick one more before we came home. Can you guess what they picked.........................Maelstrom
as Dh hates aything like this it was left to me again. This time i'm holding on for dear life and i'm sure i had a couple of tears in my eyes when DD shouted to me .."Do you not like this mum"
" No i **** hate it,i'm only on AGAIN because you and you sister wanted to*
She then reached over and held my hand
Bless..We then walked back over to the site, packed the tent away and left to come home around 6.45pm.Due to an accident on the motorway it was after 10 before we arrived home, tired but had a lovely weekend.
Sorry this turned into a mimi trippie.
