This was the first time we have traveled anywhere for Christmas. We were gone 12/19-12/26. We stayed the first night at the BWV. This was also a first for us. We only had a 1BR (there were 5 of us....3A, 2C) and we had a VERY LONG walk down the hallway!! The room was fine for the one night.
Then we were off to Port Canaveral for our first Disney Cruise!!! We did the 3 night on the Wonder. We had a blast! It was more than I could have dreamed. The CM's were great. Our servers were awesome. It was just so much fun! I want to go on another cruise!
Then it was back to BWV for the next 3 nights. Our room wasn't ready when we got there (which I knew would be the case) so we headed to DHS. We had lunch at Sci-Fi and dinner at 50's PTC. Meals were good but the crowds were heavy. We didn't get on Toy Story
But the Osborne Lights were awesome!!!!
Ok....about our room.......we were given a handicapped room....don't know why cause we certainly didn't request it. We were on the first floor in a 2 BR lock-off. I have decided that I like dedicated ones better. We had 1068 and 1070. We had a great view....right at the pool. But I did not care for the room at all. It is in desperate need of refurbishment. Thankfully they are doing this now! It needs a paint job bad!
We did MK on Christmas Eve......ahhhhhhhhhhhh! It was wall to wall people. Crazy!! Not my cup of tea. We got to do all the rides we wanted utilizing the FP. Had breakfast at CRT and that was yummy!! Had lunch at LTT and it was pretty good. We didn't stay for the Wishes either. We were all too tired.
EPCOT was Christmas Day and it was crowded but not too bad. We did all the rides except Test Track. We had a FP for it and we were in line for about 10 mins. and then they told us it was down and we had to exit. We didn't try to go back. We had lunch at Teppan Edo and have decided that this is now our favorite restaurant!!!! It was so good! Dinner was at Tutto Italia and my food was excellent! I had the veal meatballs for my app. and the Canneloni for my entree......so good! We did not stay for Illuminations either. We had seen the fireworks from the Boardwalk the night before.
All in all, it was a nice Christmas but I don't think we will go back at the same time. I think we will try the beginning of December if we do go back for the holidays. And we will be cruising again!!!!
