Back from my surprise WDW "Twenty-moon"!

Just a quick post to say we got back last night and had a wonderful, magical, romantic time at POFQ! It was an awesome 20th anniversary surprise from my DH and we could not have had a better time. I am working on a trip report with pictures, we really loved POFQ...it was perfect in every way!

Our weather was fabulous.., it barely sprinkled on us...although there was some thunder and lightning, the magic kept us from having a rained on parade. Ironically, it rained the entire way back to the airport when we were on the magical express bus.

The crowds were seriously heavy and it was very hot, but we are the laid back touring types who just enjoyed being there and checking out the shops, the food...the scenery and a few attractions. It was heavenly.

Sad to leave the most wonderful place on earth...but glad to get back home to the kids and animals....

I will let you know when I get my trip report finished!

Thanks Kim and deb, glad and sad to be back, LOL.

We just realized we didn't take any pics at epcot...not sure why, we were there several times. But, they may just be on a different memory card, hopefully.

I tried to keep an eye out for the inconsiderate smokers and refillable mug criminals, but I only saw one woman smoking as she was walking to her room (does it count that she was walking by non-smoking rooms?) and it seemed sort of wrong to just snap a picture of her, LOL. I just did not see many 'crimes' or I was just having too much fun to notice.

Friends of ours sent 2 baskets of goodies to our room the second day, filled with treats/fruit, wine, cheese, crackers, mickey head glasses and a cute little pooh bear. One came in a cool tote bag and the other was a silver metal mickey head basket.

It was funny, because we were taking a 'nap' that afternoon and someone knocked at the door...we decided to ignore it and but then the knocking was insistent. So, my DH got up and answered it (not super happy about the interuption), the CM was so embarrassed and kept on apologizing for distrurbing our privacy, but the gifts were marked 'deliver immediately'.


LOL, we really had a great time and many, many magical moments.

LOL, we thought about that afterwards and used the 'privacy please' card from then on...

When we were just married, we did have that happen though. We had a suite at a local hotel and the morning after our wedding day, we called for room service and ordered a feast for breakfast. After the delivery guy left, we realized we they forgot the syrup for the pancakes, so my DH called back and they said they would sent it up immediately. We just happened to be using the sofa bed in the main room of the suite when the guy came back and, not thinking, he OPENED the door and walked IN!!! (we should have had it locked, but didn't)

Imagine our surprise! Luckily we were covered and not doing anything inappropriate at the time..we laugh about it now, but what an embarrassing moment for all of us!

I brought up the idea with my DW Sue about an annivesary trip to WDW. She seemed open to the idea, but since our 21st is just a couple weeks away, she said "not this year". Sigh.

But thanks anyway for the idea. I've planted the seed. Let's see where it goes. I'm glad you had a most excellent time at WDW despite the heat, crowds, and "interruption". It just goes to show that having a good time is as much a state of mind as it is a place or time.

Happy 20th. May your next 20 years together be even better.

That is just so true. Really, nothing could have ruined it for us...every time we saw something that could be less than magical, we just shrugged, laughed and were thankful to be there.

Any time a line was long we would just say "hey, it took 20 years to get right here, what is another couple minutes?"

TC, I hope you do get to make an anniversary trip someday soon. I cannot think of a better place to mark the event, at least for us. Thanks for the warm thoughts and congrats on 21 years!

Ah POFQ...our favorite resort. Ok, so we really don't have anything to compare it to, but hubby and I stayed there back in January on our first trip together and we loved the place.
