Back from Disney

Maybe some of you have more cooperative families...but we would never set our 12 year old loose in Disney to go get Fasspasses and then expect him to find his way back on his own.

OK.... Sorry it was just a suggestion. I thought you said in your OP that you had teens. My DS is 13 almost 14 so I felt perfectly comfortable sending him to get the fastpasses, but he has been to Disney twice and that could make a difference. Anyway didn't realize your child was 12. Sorry again.

I'm so sorry that things turned out this way for you.. Between the crowds, only having one day, and the downpour, I don't see how it could have gotten much better - even WITH better planning..

Try REAL hard to get your DH to take a look at these boards and the difference in crowds and wait times for other times of the year.. I've been to WDW in the early fall as well as around Thanksgiving and just after Easter and the crowds were minimal to manageable..

Keep after him! Hopefully you can change his mind! :flower:

Considering that it was summer & you left at 4 p.m., I don't think you did that bad - 6 rides plus lunch. Going with 2 age groups is a problem if you only have one day. I think that you did the right thing getting Fantasyland over with in the morning. I usually do that if I'm traveling with small children. However on Day 2 at MK, we do just the opposite. We run for the mountains for the ones in our group who like those kinds of rides. If we just have 1 day at MK we split up into 2 groups - the thrill riders & the non-thrill riders.
