The effects of Charlie have already been addressed, and I agree that Disney did a wonderful job dealing with the situation. We were probably on the last flight from Philly to Orlando on the 13th. It was our first time at BWV, and one son and my daughter loved it, the other son did not. The one problem that my son and his wife had was the return trip from AK. The bus stopped at a waterpark (I think Typhoon Lagoon), the Swan, the Dolphin, the Yacht Club, the Beach Club, and finally Boardwalk. It took almost an hour, and their 2 year old was not very happy. Other than that one trip, we had no other problems with transportation.
My daughter, friend, and I moved over to OKW for some R&R, and it was quiet and relaxing as always. The only problem that I had was the mosquitoes. I was eaten alive the first night. We killed at least 10 in the room. I walked in the second night, looked down and found 3 on my hand!
A CM at Olivia's noticed all my bites and said to see Guest Services. The CM handled the problem, and said to call Housekeeping next time. Within a few minutes someone was at my door and said he would spray the area around our door when we left, and he would make sure that the shrubbery around my building would be fogged during the night. The next day, the mosquitoes were not as bad. I'm sure it was because of Charlie and the numerous afternoon showers. Other than my one son arriving 8 hours late because of Charlie and a few mosquito bites, my children and granddaughters had a wonderful time.
The granddaughters
had breakfast with the princesses and loved Chef Mickey's.
