Who: Me- 31 yrs old, DH- 34 yrs old, DD- 2 yrs old.

When: Oct 22nd-Oct 31st

Where: 7 nights OKW 2 nights CSR

Friday- we left JFK an hour late but made up all our flying time because of the strong tailwinds. DD had her own seat this time so I enjoyed a nip of scotch while she sat quietly in her car seat watching Shrek. DH watched Shrek for the 100th time with her.
FL Tours picked us up right on time from MCO and we headed to the supermarket for some essentials........beer, wine, cheese etc.... checked into our studio room in building 16 unpacked and went to sleep.

Saturday- we got up bright and early for our PS at Chef Mickey's DD loved the characters which was far different than the way she felt about them 4 months ago. She gave them all "love", had them all sign her autograph book and gave them all a high five when they were all done. (DD also loved signing her own autograph book). Went to the MK and hit most of the rides. DD was tall enough to go on Goofy's Barnstormer so we took her on that and she loved it. Weather was perfect. High 80's and no humidity. DD actually fell asleep in her stroller 1 hr before the 3pm parade so DH and I parked our butts and got a Toll House cookie Ice Cream sandwiched and people watched while waiting for the parade to start. DD woke up 10 mins before the parade and loved every minute of it. Goofy was her favorite this trip. She kept screaming GOOPY's GOOPY's!!! We ate our traditional turkey leg and ate dinner at Olivia's that night. I had soup and salad. DD had pasta and DH had steak.

Sunday- my aunts from Melbourne came to visit us at our resort. We all went to downtown disney for lunch and ate at Wolfgang puck's. DH and I had sushi and DD had pasta everyone else had pizza. Once my aunts left, our friends from Sanford met us back at our resort and we all went to Epcot. Rode T T and deliberated over riding MS but we all chickened out. Walked around WS and drank and ate at some of the kiosks. Another beautiful weather day.

Monday- Animal Kingdom. we baby swapped on Dinosaur and all went on ITTBAB. We grabbed a quick bite to eat and went over to SSR to swim. Wow! What a pool. We loved the zero entry for DD. The hot tub is huge and there is a kiddie area where the fountains squirt out of the ground like at Epcot. DD had a blast at this pool. This is our home resort and we are staying there in Feb. Can't wait!! Perfect weather today!! I have no idea where or what we ate today, but I'm sure it was good.

Tuesday- went swimming at the Polynesian. Loved this pool too. DH says they play hawaiian music under the water but I didn't want to get my hair wet so I didn't hear it. ;) had a light lunch by the pool and went back to the room so DD could get a long nap in before MNSSHP. Headed over to the park around 6pm and we went as NYG fans. What a fun party. We loved the headless horseman. PS at LTT at 5:30pm dinner was yummy and the characters looked so cute. No wait time for any of the rides. It was great. Lots of yummy candy and lots of character sightings as well. Fireworks were great and park was decorated very pretty. We videotaped a lot this night. Weather was great.

Wednesday-PS Cindy's castle for princess breakfast. I don't even want to talk about this breakfast, but the long and short of it was we waited 45 mins before any princesses came to our table. Does anyone know what it's like to keep a 2 yr old from having a meltdown in their highchair for 45 mins when they are done eating. We complained to Jenna, the manager and she had a flip attitude basically telling us oh well, this is how long people wait a lot of the time. She was condescending. All I wanted was a little sympathy from her and a little understaning of our frustration. Instead all I got from her was a little smirk and a sorry but unfortunately thats how long it takes for the characters to get around. I was always taught in business that you never use the word unfortunately so that really irked me. She was not very "magical", but something happens later that makes up for it. headed over to MGM for the day and ate at Sci Fi Diner. I had the ribs and DH had the pastrami sandwich. DD slept through lunch otherwise she would have had pasta:rolleyes: are you starting to see a trend"?! I have no idea what we did this night, but I'm sure it was one of the parks.

Thursday- Epcot again in the morning. DD and DH went to the room to nap and I went to shop::yes:: I got the sugar scrub from Basin. It feels so good on my feet!!! Here's where I got some Disney magic to make up for our breakfast. I went into the Christmas shop and got an ornament, this is a tradition for us. I went up to Eddy who was personalizing the ornaments and asked how long it would take to get something written on the ornament, he told me he was really backed up and would have to keep it and mail it to me. I said it was o.k. I would just buy it as is and then he asked me what I wanted written on it and I told him just 2004. He said that was easy and he would be more than happy to do it right there. He said a lot of people are nasty and want a million things written on the ornament and when he tells them there is a wait, they get nasty with him. I told him that I work with people all day long and I know how nasty they can be. I then told him about Jenna and our not so fun PS at the castle. He was so dissapointed to hear how we were treated that after he got done putting 2004 and some hearts on my ornament he told me to go pick out another one and pay for it, then I would bring it to him and he would switch them so I wouldn't have to pay for the personalization. I told him that he didn't have to do that and he said I should have been treated better by Jenna and for my troubles he was doing the personalization for free. I was so happy!!! That was very Disney of him!! Back to MNSSHP again this time just to enjoy instead of video tape. DD was an M&M tonight and we had another great night. ate at Cosmic Ray's. I had a wrap and veggie soup, DH had a burger and can you guess what DD had??? Actually they don't serve pasta here so she had a hotdog. Another late night, getting in around 12:30am. More perfect weather.

Friday-checked out of OKW and headed over to CSR. Nice resort but definitely no OKW, BWV or SSR. I didn't really like the pool it was nice but there was something depressing about it. DD loved the play area. There was a sand box, and a playground. She had fun digging for an hour or so. Ate lunch at the pepper market and had fun walking around getting our ticket stamped at all the stations we wanted to eat at. I had steak fajitas, DH had pasta and DD had what?? Oh yeah, she had pasta too. O.k. no laughing, but we went back to MNSSHP tonight too. This time DD was a princess and we did some attractions that we skipped the other nights. We went on the Riverboat. It was fun and spooky. DD was dancing in the Tiki Bird show, it was so funny. We also went on the jungle cruise tonight I love the corny jokes they tell. DH and I took turns going on Space Mountain, BTMR and Splash Mountain. We also got to go on Stich, please don't flame me for this, but I thought it sucked!!! I guess my expectations were too high, but it was really lame. IMO. Hot and sunny again today.

Saturday-Back to the Epcot and ate lunch in Italy. YUMMY!!! I had the ceasar salad with Jumbo Shrimp and a glass of red wine, DH had the gnocci (sp?) and DD had P---- (can you fill in the blanks?). :teeth: DD then got her face painted like Minnie Mouse, but she kept rubbing her face so after 5 mins it looked like a big smear. The girl didn't charge us for the face painting cause she knew it wouldn't last long. We tried to give her a tip but she said they couldn't take them. DD fell asleep in the stroller and we took the monorail to the TTC and then walked back to the Polynesian. DD slept for about 1hr while DH and I enjoyed Pina Coladas by the pool. After the pool we went back to the room to shower and headed back to Epcot. DD splashed around in the fountains while DH and I rested our legs. That night we had dinner at the Coral Reef. I had the seafood pasta, DH had the mahi mahi and DD had the pizza. The food was so, so. Headed back to the room to pack for the trip home.

Sunday- Left CSR around 7:30am and headed for the airport. Flight was on time and went as smoothly as the flight to MCO made it back home around 2pm, just in time to unpack and bring DD to the mall to trick or treat for the
FOURTH TIME!!:crazy2: :faint:

I rate this trip a nine out of a possible ten!!!!
I hope this didn't bore you too much. I will answer any questions you might have!!

Great report ~ Thanx for sharing.

Great report! Enjoyed hearing how DD reacted to the characters. Isn't it funny how they react differently from trip to trip? And MNSSHP three times, WOW. Thanks.

We actually had tickets for just two nights but we had purchased tickets for the 29th for two of our friends and their DD but my friend just had another baby 2 weeks prior so they couldn't go. We didn't mind going 3 nights.:teeth: You'd be surprised how quickly 5 hrs goes by when you are at WDW:hyper:

Happy to hear that the magic was replenished by CMs within your trip. There are just some people with attitudes that could work in Heaven and not like it! My dream job when I retire would be to clerk at WDW....I think it would be so happy and fun--can't imagine thinking of it as "only a job".
When we interact with someone like Jenn, I tell the kids--she must be a sad person to be unhappy here; too bad for her.

When you stay with DVC, you get to pool hop. Awesome perk!

Great trip report!

The only pool that you can rarely pool hop at is Storm Along Bay at Beach Club.

I loved your trip report! We are heading back to WDW in 20 days (Christmastime at VWL - yayyyy!) with our 3 year old and you are so right - when he was 18 months he was very blase about the characters, but the last two trips (2 and 2 1/2) he loved them...especially getting autographs.

We have tickets two nights for the MVMCP and I love your idea of using one to take video, etc and one to just enjoy...!

Thank you also for the report on the SSR pool - that is our home resort as well and we look forward to seeing all the construction progress.

Have an awesome trip and please let us know how you like VWL. We are staying there next October. We want to hit all the resorts to see which one we like the best.

3 nights of MNSSHP would be my dream! I certainly bring enough costumes for DD2!
