Just home from Disney Cruise #21, and as always it was a "wonder"ful time. It was so much fun to see Sasha, Karen, P.J., Rita, and lots of other crew friends. It's amazing how many people we've gotten to know, and they always welcome us back so warmly.
Once again, we kept up our streak of 21 times of beautiful weather at Castaway Cay. They have added something neat there...a gameroom at Groupers Pavillion, with things like foosball, pool, basketball, etc. It's all free, and hubby said it wasn't crowded at all because nobody really knows about it yet. Be sure to check it out! We'll be posting photos on our website soon. We got pictures of the pulldown bed and a Cat. 4 family suite. We also took some pics. of the new Straw Market and lots more dinner entrees to add to the menus on my site. There wasn't much else new, although we did have a neat new experience...as we were leaving Nassau, I heard Tony calling me frantically from the verandah (he was relaxing outside, but I was already in bed). I came running out just in time to see a fireworks display. It must have been some kind of Nassau holiday. It lasted about ten minutes, and it was such a great way to cap the day.
Those who hate seeing people "reserve" a deck chair all day by throwing a shirt or whatever onto it will be glad to know that Disney has put signs on all the deck chairs saying "Please do not use items to reserve these chairs for extended periods." Hopefully they will be effective...it's hard to tell on the 3-day because getting a chair isn't usually a problem, or at least not by the adult pool.
This trip had to have the wildest 70s party ever. My face hurt from laughing by the time it ended! One of the "John Travoltas" was wearing boxer shorts with big hearts, and he rolled up his shorts so they were fully visible. It was SO funny! Who says kids have all the fun on Disney ships?!
I'll be putting together my trip report soon, but those are just some quick highlights.

I always look forward to your postings. This board is great for us new cruisers as we are always learning something. Thanks for keeping us informed.

Kathleen :)

Well, I wish it were warm and balmy here in Northern IL. I am glad to hear your trip #21 was as wonderful as all your others. I just wish next May would come a little quicker:) 367 days and counting everyone of them:jester:

Where is Grouper's pavillion? Are those new CC games available to families/children or adults only? It's great knowing that there will be something new to explore on our upcoming cruise! Thanks for doing all the research (I wish it could be me)!

Groupers is for anybody...I think it is mainly aimed at families, but no one seemed to know about it, even though it was on the front page of the navigator. Hubby said that some teenagers stopped by, but that was about it. Hopefully it will catch on because he said the activities looked like a lot of fun. He spent some time there shooting pool and baskets.

Hi Barb & Tony,

Welcome Back!!!! When we sailed with you in January there was also fireworks in Nassau. Bob & I had just finished eating dinner at Palos when we saw them. We watched them right outside of Palos. The display was fantastic.

Do you know if there is a 70's party on the Magic??? I hope so, we had so much fun last year at it on the Wonder. By the way, is the Charles band ( I think that was the name) still on the Wonder??? They were fantastic. Do you know who the band is on the Magic?? I can't imagine any other band being as good as they were. They made the cruise fantastic.

Well, I'm jealous as ever of all your Wonder cruises you've been taking. We still have 8 months till we sail again on #4 but only 2 months till we visit WDW again.

Take care and keep up the great reports.

Stacey

New Straw Market? Does this mean that it has been rebuilt?
Heading over to your site to check out the pics.......Thanks!

Not rebuilt, but relocated under a giant tent. I didn't see any rebuilding activity, so I think the tent will be there for a while.
We don't have the photos posted yet, but they should be out there by this weekend.

Amazing how you always find something new each trip. Anxious to see photos and hear about new menu items. Do you go into Nassau each trip? I am not really into planned excursions-prefer to have an adventure on my own. I really can't find much info about Cable beach. I did see that while areas in front of hotels is private there is also a public beach. I wonder if it has public restrooms or chair rentals. Like everyone else, I appreciate all the great info you bring back after each trip.
