Would like to hear about your experience at Akershus, thanks!
What meal did you eat? What Princesses came? Who was your pic with? Food review?
We will be having a late breakfast there in a few weeks.
Thanks in advance!
We have always eaten dinner at Akershus. So, I'm not sure if I'm going to be at all helpful since you are going for breakfast.
But, here it is. During our dinner, this time we had Princess Aurora, Cinderella, Alice and Jasmine visit our table and had the photo package with Belle. We were so happy to see Belle there, she is my daughter's favourite princess. The reason for our visit is not for the food, but it was fine. Our waitress was attentive and pleasant. The appetizer buffet was good, although there were not replenishing the dishes as fast as people were eating them. The smoked salmon and pasta salads are very good. The main entree is not my favourite, but it was fine, I usually get the Salmon (and so I did again). My husband also order the salmon this time and like it as well. He used to order the bacon wrapped cod which, on our previous visit, he did not like. The children both ordered the pizza (nothing great, but they ate it). I was a little disappointed with the dessert. On our previous visits, there was a chocolate mousse type dessert and now it was replaced with the School bread (I know a lot of people like it but I really didn't so it was left on the dish). Although, I will admit that I never used to like the Rice Cream and now I had a few bites and enjoyed it. I guess it's growing on me.
My only real complaint (and has always been) is the way the people are called in. I guess it's part of the theme, but everyone is crowded in the front and the CM's are very quiet when they call out the party. I guess there isn't a better way to do it. But that's one of the things I don't like about it. Other than that, I think it's a very nice experience, and we tend to do it once a year for my daughter, she just loves the princesses. A few years back, we had seen Cinderella with her Prince during our dinner. When we left, we noticed Cinderella was alone, so we felt lucky. Unfortunately the photo did not turn out, so we were glad to get one of Cinderella, the Prince and my daughter at dinner at 1900 Park Fare.
