I am disappointed that on the day of the final show someone has to come here and share rumors about the winner . I am also disappointed that so many people quoted it so even if the the OP who slipped edits her post it's been quoted so much that 3-4 people need to edit their posts too. Sorry to be a such a stickler about NO SPOILERS or RUMORS on a "NO SPOILER" thread .

I agree, even tho I've read it in other places (not the spoiler thread), not everyone has. I don't understand why "No spoiler thread" is such a difficult concept to understand and respect.

....while I am certainly in agreement that, if a particular thread is being touted as a 'NO SPOILER' thread, those who DO know what will happen in upcoming episodes of any particular weekly show should not divulge any information prematurely. That being said, I kinda think that it's a bit unfair that you are chastising this poster for sharing 'RUMORS' and her personal beliefs. Besides, although I didn't read any 'spoiler' threads, it's kinda hard to not read that all fingers are pointing towards Jake picking Vienna....and, again, I do NOT know tonight's outcome....we'll jes' HAVE to wait'n'see, won't we? [JMHO ]

I don't see why that matters. I started this thread because I wanted to watch each episode unfold on it's own, without knowing how it would end.

In the meantime, curiosity got the better of me, and I visited the spoiler thread here, and read Reality Steve, but that doesn't mean everyone on this thread did, and doesn't mean I can't be a little annoyed that someone either doesn't understand the concept of a "no spoiler" thread, or even worse, is deliberately trying to "spoil" other people's viewing.

Sharing personal beliefs is one thing. Sharing rumors is another. Not having read rumors, I'd think Tenley was the likely winner...or Vienna, because that's the way things go...either way. I wouldn't have any reason to lean in either direction, except for what I see on the show and by reading how other people express their opinions for the same reasons.

Most spoilers ARE rumors. And there are people who do avoid other sources saying who the RUMORED winner is. But that has nothing to do with THIS thread anyway...this is supposed to be a place to discuss the season without sharing spoilers. If anyone does find out who the likely winner is at another source, so be it. But it shouldn't be here. Geez, there's a spoiler thread...everyone can have a field day there relishing in what they've heard. Not here.

And thank you for that!! It SEEMS like such a simple concept, no?? And yet every season, there's this big debate. That's the problem the two threads were supposed to solve.

I think some people just gleefully like to be the big bearer of really neat-o news.

What makes me say that is I like her better, personally I think she's more suited for him, and based on what I saw on the show. At the same time, I understand how things are edited and they try to put a certain spin on things. What it's NOT based on is any rumor saying "Tenley" is going to win, or vice versa...the reason I stayed on the "no spoiler" thread, and the reason there IS a no spoiler thread.

...mebbe it's just ME, but when I read a sentence beginning with "...it's been rumored that..." I take it as just that - a RUMOR....it's not set in stone and it's NOT definitive. Anyone can interpret it ANY way, depending upon their outlook and their understanding of the situation. To ME, a spoiler is something along the lines of: "it was reported by ["persons close to...", "a reliable source...", "...producer on the show was quoted as saying...", "(name of magazine, editor, new report) reports that...", or any specific source that is being quoted [with substantiated evidence]and it is usually documented. Again, a rumor is JUST A RUMOR - nothing more, nothing less......

. I didn't post anything spoiler releated!!! I tried hard to remember lol.

I guess I just don't see why if you go to the spoiler thread and you knew what happend why you get upset if someone post something you already knew Now if you didn't go and you got it ruined then I can understand why you would be upset

...sooo, what you are saying is based upon your own personal preference, correct? That is my point EXACTLY - you'd read the so-called rumors here, yet you choose to think Tenley may get picked (which I don't have a problem with). The point that I'm making is that a rumor doesn't mean specifically one way or the other - black or white. There is still that 'gray area', so there can still be speculation. I was just emphasizing the fact that the OP stated a rumor, which is, IN NO WAY, and shouldn't be, 'conclusive'....that's all...

Maybe next season we should be more specific on the no spoiler thread. State that we want opinions only, no spoilers, no rumors, etc. That we want no information execept what has been aired on tv. I too was disappointed in the one post about about Vienna. Where did the rumor come from? Depending on that, it could be classified a spoiler.

Mebbe it is just you. Maybe we need a "no spoilers/no rumors" thread next time, so that we're not bogged down by semantics.

Until we actually see it, nothing RUMORED is factual, nor are the spoilers. But it could very likely BE factual. And the rumors are coming from somewhere, whether or not we state the fairly reliable source it came from or not. "Rumor has it it's Vienna" is no better than "Reality Steve says it's Vienna." If someone who KNOWS THE SPOILER wants to put it out there that they're SO incredibly perceptive, then say "I think it's Vienna because he really seems to like her, they edited it to make us think he's more like Tenley" or whatever.

All we're asking is that people respect that. I don't see why it needs to be a big deal to just keep it off this thread. I'm stunned.
