Bachelor Jake -- no-spoiler thread

Awww, I actually liked her dance. It was beautiful. You could see Jake literally turning into a puppy dog before her eyes. Don't mind me, I'm feeling sappy tonight!
I thought it looked like he was trying to keep from laughing. I thought it was embarassing and that she talked about her ex-husband too much on this date.

But ... I thought that he could have been more positive about asking her to stay. He said he didn't want her to go, not that he wanted her to stay.
What is the difference?? I think he made it pretty clear to her that he wanted her to stay but I think Chris really gave him some food for thought. If she stays he may have a hard time letting her go just because he knows she gave up her job. If he does choose her then he ends up with a jobless fiance.

Wasn't Vienna's family supposed to be loaded? We don't see much of their houses, but that sure didn't look the home of a rich guy.
I don't know if she ever said they were loaded, just that she was a Daddy's girl. I assumed they had money, too, but I'm not sure if she ever really said that.

Could Vienna not get that grin off her face. You know she was jumping for joy that Ali left.

I thought all 3 girls looked thrilled. I was surprised because I thought Ali and Tenley were friends. :confused3

Dear ABC:

Reality shows are just that..."reality".

If you are to give us an OBVIOUSLY scripted piece o kayrap... can you PLEASE hire better ACTORS????:surfweb:

Oh man, during the big "I have to leave" scene I was sitting there in total disbelief. I was thinking Ali must be a plant/hired actress because there is no way that horrible acting was for real. No offense to those who believed it, but wow, I totally disagree. And if it was real then I think Ali is even more of an immature mess than I previously realized. I think this is a total ABC storyline and I wouldn't be surprised if she comes back and Jake ends up with her.....dramatically of course. :rolleyes1

Gia was so sweet last night - she is definitely my favorite now. I loved seeing her with her close family.

Tenley is also a sweetheart, but I think she's just not over her ex enough yet to really fall in love.

Vienna - yikes!! If you always elicit hatred from other girls at some point you have to admit that it's you not the other girls. :rolleyes1

Who do you guys think he would have cut last night if Ali didn't leave?

Wow, tough crowd here tonight. I thought that the scene in the hotel room was one of the realest scenes I have seen on reality TV and some of you are going on about how it was scripted and how bad the acting is. I guess I just must be gullible since I really thought that Ali's heart was breaking with Jake's heart not too far behind.

All of us know he can't tell her (esp on camera) that she will be FR1. But ... I thought that he could have been more positive about asking her to stay. He said he didn't want her to go, not that he wanted her to stay.

FWIW, I knew what was going to happen. I have been reading over at FORT since I spoiled myself a couple of weeks ago. I still thought it was interesting TV.

Call me a cynic but I have about as much trust in the what goes on with these shows as I do in the Tooth Fairy.

The Bachelor is becoming so predictable, now. People leaving, people returning, people loony and obsessed, people crying on balconies... come on, it's time for new WRITERS!!

Camera crew on the ready for every possible turn, soap opera tears at the blink of an eye... sorry, I guess I've been in the business too long to have any faith in the process.:confused3

I *do* think he cares for her, but I also think that he feels constraints from the show and feels he couldn't tell her outright.

What is the difference?? I think he made it pretty clear to her that he wanted her to stay but I think Chris really gave him some food for thought. If she stays he may have a hard time letting her go just because he knows she gave up her job. If he does choose her then he ends up with a jobless fiance.
:confused3 I think there is a difference between "I don't want you to go." and "Please stay with me.". I wonder what was on the editing floor from the first meeting as he seemed very ambivalent about the possibility of her going. Like it didn't matter much one was or another to him and it was all her decision. He didn't even tell her he didn't want her to leave until she went to see him during the rose ceremony. I think if he had said something in the earlier conversation (ala Ed and Jilly) there may have been a different outcome. It was really clear the Jillian didn't want Ed to go from the moment he told her he was leaving.

Who do you guys think he would have cut last night if Ali didn't leave?[/QUOTE]

I'm thinking he might have let go Tenley, only because he might feel it is way to soon for her after her break up with her husband. I got from the conversations from her family that it just happened this year.

In regards to the part were Jake and Ali were crying their eyes out over her leaving.........all I can say is, IF he was really THAT into her, he wouldn't have been able to put on such a happy face when he gave the other woman the roses. I would have thought that he would have NOT even showed up.......that he would have had to have some time to pull himself together.......but then again, this is all edited, so who knows how much time happened from when he put Ali in the limo and him walking back into the other woman. I just thought that he seemed to be in a GREAT mood for just letting someone go that he was falling in love with.

And I agree with another poster, if he was really into her..what would stop him from dating her after the show? Come on, it's not like this isn't real life, he can date whom ever he wants...........perhaps he picks NO one in the end and then goes after Ali?

I know!! And then the family says how "this happens to her all the time", and that makes him feel better??!! Um, yea, sure, every other girl Vienna has ever known is just mean and jealous. It's not Vienna at all. :rolleyes1 Duh! Jake is an idiot. If Vienna continually brings out the worst in other people, that's a pretty good sign that it's her, not everyone else.

Yep, this is a guy who tried to rat out Wes and couldn't believe Jillian didn't believe him.... CUE TEARS!!

The LAST thing I'd want in my life is a over ambitious person who people cannot STAND to be around. Note to dummy: You're just the object of her desire, NOT wonderful man of her dreams. There will be others!

Also, there will be family reunions, there will be PTA meetings, there will be play dates... you SURE you want that girl everyone is just JEALOUS of???

Of course there was a camera crew there. I am sure that Ali told the producers that she needed to talk to Jake about leaving. AFAIK, there is no contact between the parties unless there is a camera present. I'm not sure where the big Tooth Fairy conspiracy comes in.

I'd image there was quite a bit of time that lapsed so he could get himself pull himself back together again

Not true. There are LOTS of edited scenes we never see. The Tooth Fairy is a fantasy, much like this storyline.

And I STILL come back every Monday!! What is WRONG with ME!!!

You say "not true" but seem to be agreeing with me that the cameras are always on when Jake meets with one of the women. Of course it was edited for maximum storyline, but that doesn't mean that Ali was acting or that the whole work thing was made up.

When Ali said to Jake if you ask me to marry me I would TODAY. Then he put his hands in his pockets It looked like he was looking for a ring or something lol

Okay, that part I'll agree with you about but I'm still convinced that this is directed and put together prior. I'm glad that the Bachelor is still on (I obviously enjoy it) but I'm of the "don't pee on my leg and tell me it's raining" variety.

I'm also kind of ticked that the English bachelor admitted that he chose Lorenzo Lama's daughter because the producers were trying to promote her. I believe the PTB on the show already know who they want to promote for their next Bachelorette and are setting up the drama so we can all "discuss" it and tune it. It's a ploy that WORKS.

There are two kinds of people that watch the bachelor, the romantics and the skeptics. Neither are wrong, just jaded by life and their own experiences.

Waitaminute, there are THREE:yay:. The romantics , the skeptics :surfweb:,

.
and kimmar :rolleyes1

;)

...well??? What do you have to say for yourself, young lady??

....well, THAT'S gonna leave quite a graphic my my head....
