Bachelor Jake -- no-spoiler thread

I did notice that. I thought it was rather odd that she got so excited about critters that are usually in that area. It would be like me squealing over a squirrel.

....or ME squealing over a zebra.......oh yeah, that's right - I don't REALLY live at AKL....:rolleyes1

Wouldn't that be a job she could do from anywhere? Take your laptop to St. Lucia and work while he's off with the other girls. It's to the point where they have a lot of down time when they're not with Jake. Seems that something could have been arranged.
It may not be that easy. If she's an account executive she may have specific accounts that she is responsible for. Part of that responsibility may involve physically being there. Personally, I don't buy the whole job story. She knew how long she could possibly be gone for when she signed up. I think it's all part of the "script" or that there's really another reason.

So after last night's episode, here are my thoughts:

Gia - I think she's sweet but after their hometown date, I think she would have gone home last night.

Ali - I still think she could come back ala Ed. Their hometown date seemed to have a completely differently vibe than the others. I'm still gonna pull for her.

It rubbed me the wrong way to see Jake acting hurt and sad after Ali left and then happily telling the girls that now he doesn't have to have a rose ceremony. He sure bounced back quickly. I don't Ali will enjoy seeing that!

I hope that was just editing because I lost some respect for Jake after seeing that.

Tenley - She obviously still has a lot of baggage to deal with from her divorce which seemed to be surprisingly recent. But if things don't work out with Ali, I think he will choose her.

Vienna - I think his facial expressions say one thing, but his words say something else. I still think she is only there because the producers are telling him to keep her.

I don't want any of these ladies to be the next Bacholerette.....I want them to scrap everybody and start over (even the writers and espescially the editors!)

I like Chris Harrison as the host of his earlier show , Designer's Challenge, even though there he had some of the same predictable lines there also.

Gia needs to run away and find a guy worthy of her love....

Tenley needs to head off and take some time just for her or she will just end
up in a short lived marriage again because she likes to be married.

Vienna is so like every girl I grew up with and her parents feed the dillusion of their Princess.

Someone please tell me why I watch this show?

I likened to calling Ali "the Female Ed". :rotfl:

I'm rooting for Gia...she's the only one worth it...she's too good for him, but he just can't be with Vienna.

I will throw something at my TV.

Like when Jillian dumped Reid.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Ali come back next week.

The girls probably figured that Ali was leaving, that's why they had such big grins on their faces when Jake finally came in.

I noticed that Gia greeted Vienna with a kiss when she arrived but they did not show her greeting Ali.

Reading through everyone's posts, amazes me how we all think so alike. I agree with just about everything you have been saying.

Tenley - Not over her divorce. Needs to take a step back to recover. I didn't know her divorce was so recent until this past episode ... that's really quick to be looking for another husband.

Gia - Was probably going to be sent home. Too good for Jake, Mr. "I'm falling in love with 6 women ... 5 women ... 4 women ... I don't even know what I like, so I will string along all these girls and say the same things to all of them." Heck, by this time, he should know who he wants. If he doesn't, then none of them are for him.

Vienna - Ditzy ditzy ditzy. Wow. I don't know how any guy who has his life together would want this woman. The only guys I can see liking a girl like her is a guy in high school or college. Not to mention, she isn't even that attractive. I don't understand what he likes in her. Her immaturity? Does he secretly want to date college girls? That's the only explanation I can think of other than the producers wanting her to stay on the show.

Next week looks interesting. In one of the scenes, it looks like Gia sheds her top (the one where she is hugging jake in the ocean) ... uh oh. Also, I thought it was interesting how Gia's brothers kept reminding her to not get hurt by Jake. I think her brothers easily sensed the confused nature of Jake. Also, how many more times is Jake going to describe a girl as being "organic?"

Agreed. This was a BS move by the producers.

OK, I just watched the show last night, and all I can think of is how EXACTLY like the situation with Jillian and Ed this is. I mean, why is it that even after they showed him with the 3 girls, they shot back to a picture of Ali crying (sort of) in the back of the limo. Yes, she knew how long she might be gone for even before she signed on to the show. So if it was me as the Bachelor (or Bachellorette), and someone chose to go back to work, I'd be sooo over them. And although I used to be a fan of Tenley, she's still not over her ex, and she acts young to me. Vienna is going to be too high maintenance, I think. Her father and she both seem to act as if it's all about her and whatever she wants she gets. I'd choose Gia, after the other night, but I'm pretty sure he won't.

 Oh Reid..
What was she thinking? Especially after seeing those shorts that Ed wore?!?!!? :lmao:

...it could have been worse....

Yep, what SHE said... :surfweb:

I think he feels chemistry with Gia. The night they did the campsite thing, he just put his face into her neck and sighed a big sigh. He hasn't had that kind of reaction with any of the other women. Also, Gia is a tough woman and the only one of all of them who has her own life and would be independent. He SAID he wanted a woman he could 'lean on' if necessary. Tenley nor Vienna are those types and Ali is a horrible, spoiled brat who would demand-demand-demand. I mean, I can see her stomping her feet to get what she wants. Gia has some style and stands on her own-crazy family aside, lol!

Why not? He was my pick early on. Reid was way too young for Jillian and Ed dotes on her. They seem genuinely happy.

I don't think Reid was too young. I just think that he wasn't ready to declare his undying love for someone he'd known for less than two months and who also happened to be dating a bunch of other guys at the same time. Seems realistic to me. Yes, I know it's The Bachelor, so realism shouldn't even enter the conversation.

Ed said what Jillian wanted to hear. To me, it seemed like he was reading from a script. And I do believe he cheated on her when he went home despite his claims that he missed her sooo much while he was gone. He just seems shifty to me. He's a frat boy, but Jillian is a party girl, so I guess they're good together.

In other words, I :lovestruc Reid. Ed, not so much.
