Babysitting services?

I have a slight problem that I need help with finding a solution. My family of 4 is going to WDW in June. We want to go horseback riding. DH, DD12 and myself would like to go, but DD10 is not interested and doesn't want to go. Are there babysitting services at WDW? We are staying at OKW and the DD is 10 years old. We plan to go to the first ride of the day (8:30am)

On the DVC member site, in room baby sitting services are offered. We have never used it so I could not speak of reliability.

Hi,

We are going next week. .and our 8 DS is signed up for an evening at the Sand Castle Club at the BCV so DH and I can have an adult dinner. My son loves kids clubs and will go anywhere with anyone..he's a party boy. On allears.net you can find a list of all of the kids clubs.. the rate is $11 per hour includes dinner..

My guess is a 10 year old just might object to the babysitter idea too. I guess I'd probably explain to her that we all must do things we don't want to sometimes, and compromise is a good quality to posess. Maybe even tell her that if she compromises on this activity, you will let her pick a special activity she wants to do on the trip as well.

I have thought about this and would and have done this in the past. My concern is this activity involves an animal and a big one at that. We have just started to lease a horse within the last four months. We have gotten her up and riding a few times, but she is just not into it. This trial ride is 45 minutes long and wouldn't be fair to the horse or DD is force the issue. She is not too keen on the baby sitting idea either. I have let her know that I would look at other options to be fair. The choice will be hers. That way if she does decide to go, I will have a more willing and co-operative participant. Believe me, she has been more than willing to to go along for the sake of the family or group in the past. I just want to approach this in a responsible manner.

Yes, you can. But these clubs don't open up until evening time. They aren't open during the day.
