This is exactly our plan with my 18 month old niece in a few weeks. We plan on doing rope drop, and taking a midday break each day (we do that normally without kids), and then we'll head back out at night. We are staying at the Beach Club, so we are very close to Epcot and DHS. We have a character breakfast at Cape May Café and Akershus and a dinner at Garden Grill on our arrival night. We also have a dinner ADR for BOG, Hoop Dee Doo and Beaches & Cream. We made sure that Dumbo was her first FP on our first MK day. Can't wait!We took our daughter for the first time when she was 18 months old. We had high expectations and they were all met. I can't tell u how important a mid day nap was for our daughter. We stayed at the Poly and having the convenience of the monorail was perfect. We would be up early and go to a character breakfast (which she loved) and then go to a park. We would go back to the resort around 12-1, nap until 3-3:30 and then do dinner and go back around 6 for an hour or two. She loved dumbo, Toy Story Midway Mania, and meeting the princesses. Character meals were a hit with her also. We did Disney JR play and dine at HS, Chef Mickey's, And Tusker House at AK. We just tried to make it as easy on her and us as possible and it was the best vacation ever. Enjoy it!!
We originally were staying at the Boardwalk for the same reason of close proximity to HS and EP. We got a deal that was just $100 more in total to stay in a villa at the Poly. The extra space was awesome! The one regret I have was not getting a meal at Akreshus b/c my daughter is obsessed with the princesses. This is exactly our plan with my 18 month old niece in a few weeks. Silhouettes are $12 I believe and you get two (they cut it out of folded paper so you get the reverse as well) and the frame was $12 as well.I'm taking my son on October for his first trip just two days after guys first birthday. Does anyone know how much a silhouette with a frame is? I was thinking about that. We have an appointment scheduled to get his hair cut in our first day. I think his hair will look a little crazy at his birthday party but I'm not getting it cut before haha
