Players- Me, DH, DS, DMIL, DFIL, DBIL, and some friends who popped in-
When- May 11-14th
This was the last leg of our Baby Tour 2007 trip down to FL to see baby's great granparents and granparents and uncles. We left KY and stopped in Atlanta before visiting the greatgrandparents in Live Oak. We then went to Miami and finally got to go to Disney for Mother's Day weekend.
We got to AKL on Friday, May 11th at around 4pm and checken in. It was a quick process and we got a very friendly CM. I think he was from Romania but am not 100% sure. He was really sweet and we had a good conversation while checking in. We were given room 5103 and DH's family was given 5104 right next door. These were just standard rooms since when we booked there were no savannah rooms available. They overlooked the lobby so we got a nice view of it.
Here is the view out our front door at night-->
That day we just went to dinner and were exausted after that (since we had already travelled so long!) We had reservations at BOMA. It was pretty good but not as good as it had been the past few times I've eaten there. I'm not sure if it was because of the "Rule of 3" or what.
For those of you who don't know me very well, I will explain my Rule of 3.
When dining at Disney, you cannot hit the same restaurant more than 3 trips in a row. If you do, you will not like it on that 4th time and will find that the food quality has decreased (even if in all actuality it is the same). So before you get to this point, you rotate to a different restaurant instead.
I will say that the squash soup was stellar. I did miss the carrot ginger soup but did like the squash too.
We took the baby with us to dinner and he slept through most of it....unlike the insane kid at the table next to us that kept throwing his silverware on the floor (almost jabbing my MIL in the leg with a fork one time) and screaming at the top of his lungs every time anyone from his family got up from or sat down at the table. The parents didn't even do anything and pretended it wasn't happening. I was just glad that my DS could probably sleep through a bomb explosion once he is in deep sleep. If DS ever does anything like that I will take his little butt back to the room and just ask that DH bring me back something.
After dinner we just crashed. We set up the baby's pack n play in the bathroom section so that there was a little separation. Besides, I don't know where else we would have set it up since ours is kinda big (didn't try the graco one that was provided in our room- the baby had already been moved around so much that we didn't want to make him sleep in an unfamiliar bed too) and wouldn't fit anywhere else in the room. We then took our monitor next door for a little while since the baby was already asleep and just hung out and talked with DH's family. Then came bedtime for us.
Speaking of being tired....I'll write more tomorrow.
