Hi there! I have a few questions on how baby swap works.

I know the 'gist' of how it works...but I was hoping for some more detail.

My whole family is going and I am bringing my infant who will be 12 weeks old at the time. There will be 8 adults total, plus my 12 week old. If I understand correctly, we all wait together in the regular queue (or in the FP queue if we have a FP for that attraction), we tell the CM that we would like to do Baby Swap and we will get a 'voucher' to give to the loading CM's.

Now here's my question, when we do the actual swap, does only 1 person ride? Or can we split our group for the baby swap so that one person (probably me) doesn't have to sing the 'The-Cheese-Stands-Alone' song while riding Space Mountain and smiling a la 'party of one' for the picture at the end.

The voucher is for 2 people to ride. You don't all have to wait in line together. Only those that are riding the first time have to wait. They ask the CM for the rider swap voucher, ride and then bring it to the people waiting. One other thing to let you know is that you don't have to use the rider swap right away. You can use it any time that same day.

We had a few instances where the CM asked us to see the baby. My husband would just point me out to the CM and call my name so I could wave. The CM told us that they have teenagers who are gaming the system so they are more strict when the park is busy.

One other bummer - no rider swap for Toy Story Mania. It stunk because I ended up having to hold the baby on my lap which really didn't allow me to enjoy the ride/game. There isn't rider swap for any ride that doesn't have a height requirement.

I was there for New Year's with my DH, DS3 and DS1. My DS3 got lucky because he was able to go on every ride twice. My DH would take him on the ride first and get the parent swap while I waited in shady area or took the baby to change him. Then they would come get me and my DH would stay with the little guy and I got to experience the ride with my DS3. It was great. :)
