Baby stuff in DVC villas?

I know the villas come with a pack-n-play, and that sometimes you can get a crib (not a true full-sized crib, but a porta crib somewhat more substantial than a pack-n-play). However, I knwo that the porta-crib option is just that -- an option -- and if they are all accounted for when you arrive, tough beans. So my SIL has arranged for a full-sized crib from ABBF. My question is this -- what other "stuff" is available, and if available, is it like the crib (FCFS) ? Specifically I'm asking about a high chair. And if you have used a high chair at DVC, please let me know what type and what you thought about it. My nephew will only be 8 mos, and we will eat a fair # of meals in the villa, so a high chair is pretty much a necessity. I need to know if my SIL should just add that to the ABBF list...

THANKS!

Add it to the list. As far as I know there are no high chairs available at OKW.

There are high chairs in the OKW villas (and at all other DVC resorts as far as I know).

They are wooden (will be in the entry closet with the vacuum), have no tray and are not adjustable - they just slide up to the table in the room. If a different type is neeed, better plan to rent it from an offsite service.

Enjoy!

Sorry, Doc is right. the only time I ever looked in that closet was years ago, I forgot, sorry.

High chairs are available at OKW -(they are the same wooden ones that you find in restaurants) - you have to request them from housekeeping - we asked for three of them last year and they brought them promptly. There is a pack-n-play in each 1br and studio that I know of & again if need another one, just call housekeeping and they will bring one right up .

When we stayed at the Boardwalk in March there was a wooden hairchair, like the ones in resturants. My dd was only 6mons old and didn't sit up very well. I purchased The Floppy Seat at babies r us. The Floppy seat is a shopping cart seat cover that works in wooden highchairs. It makes a nice cozy seat in the highchair and it has its own strap to secure the baby. It was $40 but I highly recommend it works great.

I requested a high chair at VWL in DEC, and they brought it right away. It was the same wooden type that others are describing. DD was 9 months and she sat in it just fine. (Actually, those were the good times that she actually stayed in a high chair without trying to stand up and jump out! ) We used the pack and play during our Dec. visit and our May visit to BCV. She slept just fine in it. I did however see a CM pushing a metal (hospital looking) crib out of the BCV while we were there in May. I commented that I didn't know that those were available. He said any time I needed one, to just call and ask. I decided against it because frankly, I don't know where I would have put it in our studio. I hardly had room for the pack and play.

You can buy those portable folding high chairs from babies r us or Target for about $15. They fit in a big suitcase and strap on the chair. That's what we did for our 1 year old.

Just to tell you about the cribs. They are full sized stainless steel. The are available at a first come first serve basis. In May they didn't have one on our first night but did on the second. It is hit or miss. I also forgot that they put the high chair in the closets, I called for one and they told me to look in the closet. We actually had two , one in each closet in a 2 BR.
