Baby names!!!

I really like the name Ella - my good friend named her baby that. Also, another good friend named their daughter Sidney. I love the name Sidney!

Savannah is a great name, although it is becoming more and more common (I named my kids common names, too). How about Savannah Marie? I would worry more about the first name sounding good with your last name rather than the first and middle sounding good together, since that is what people will know them as. I also wouldn't worry about the names sounding too much alike. They won't always be together.

I am going back and forth about giving the kids the same middle name. They are going to be separate adults some day, but they are still twins and it is awful cute. Are there any other good family names you could use for middle names. Hov about Ava instead of Eva?

I am sure once the girls are born, the names you pick will fit them perfectly.

Congrats, and good lucK!

After checking Robin's link, my girls were #1 and #2 the years they were born. I guess I did this on purpose after growing up with such an unusual name - which I really like now.

Contgratulations! I like ...

Eva
Erika
Ella
Halley

I don't like
Savannah -- I don't like "Place" names for children
April -- OK as a middle name, but I don't like Month names
Alyssa -- I'm just not wild about this one, sorry :(

For more names, check out the Social Security Administration's Website for the 1000 most popular baby names in 2005:

You have to go all the way down to #667 for my DD's name of "Celia" :).

DO NOT USE THE NAME APRIL!!! It's my name and I absolutely hate it. She will be teased for the rest of her life and constantly be asked if she was born in April. It gets quite annoying.

As for the other names you have on the list, I like Halley. Ava's a pretty name too.

I really like how Eva and Ella go together well, but I can't decide if I think 2 "E" names is too cutesy!

I think you should pick names you love and not worry about other people thinking they're too cutesy. You're having twins! Cutesy matching names are part of the fun of twins.

My favorites from your list would be:

Erika April (But Lily and Rose would be really nice too)
Ella Savannah

I also really like the suggested Evelyn - very classy yet still underused.

Erika and Evelyn would make a nice twin set.

My cousin's little girl is Amelia and she is adorable! By the way they call her Mimi and it really fits her silly little personality.

Eden is a E name I love. I actually have a character (working on a book) named Ella and her twin brother Eric (yes, very Disney lol I was stuck when figuring out names)

My dd's name is Ella so I LOVE that name, of course!

I also think Ava is a beautiful name.

Did you ever settle on names? was curious about the twins after reading that other thread so i searched to see if there was any news on them.

Ella is the name I have picked out when I have a DD. Plus when I was working the baby room my fav was the litttle girl named Ella. Such a sweet heart! I also like the name Savannah.

I like Savannah and Ella best. Other names I just happen to like are Geneva, Miranda, Lucy and Ariana. There are so many really great girl names, if I have a daughter it'll be hard to choose. DH and I have already chosen a future son's first name--no, we're not trying, I just happened to mention the name to him and he agreed!

I knew twins in high school. They were Elizabeth Katherine and Katherine Elizabeth. :)

ETA: OOPS! I just noticed your sig and this thread is old! Erika and April are super choices!

Here are the names we like:

Savannah
Eva
Erika
April
Ella
Alyssa
Halley
Tiffany

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated, maybe you can help us pick!

Out of these names I would prefer Eva and Ella. Although if we are ever blessed with a DD we are going to use the name Elise.

Someone has already suggested "Claire", but I would like to second it. My daughter is Claire Margery, almost was Claire Adrienne. Adrienne is a bit ike Ava?
Olivia is super common. There are 11 Olivias in my duaghter's school of 120!! I also love AMeliea. I used to lie as a kid that Amy (my name) was short for AMelia!!!
Whatever you select will be perfect for you.

Savannah
Eva
Erika
April
Ella
Alyssa
Halley
Tiffany

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated, maybe you can help us pick!

pixiedust: CONGRATULATIONS pixiedust: And good luck!

I do like the Eva/Ella combination but I do ? the whole too cutesy thing. Savannah is cute & I personally prefer multiple syllable names :confused3 Another 1 I like is not on your list but I'll throw it into the mix is Aria. I really think your better off having a list of possibles and seeing what they look like before deciding on a name.

I like all the names you have there except Ella. How about Erika Rose and Eva Cathleen?

Well it sounds like most people like Eva and Ella! I am leaning toward Eva and Savannah. I have always loved the name Savannah and Eva is a family name. DH is no help whatsoever!!

I love Eva and Savannah. Personally.. I dont like Erika and April... it just doesnt give that wow factor (and no offense to any Erika's and Aprils out there)

My 2yo is named Isabella.. when I was pregnant with my 1yo I was thinking Gabriella for a girl.. But than that would rhyme to much.. Isabella and Gabriella lol

Other names I had picked out for a girl were Ivy, Sophia, Ella and Athena. I couldn't decide. I ended having a boy and we onl had 1 name picked out so it made is easier lol
