Baby names!!!

I don't have anything productive to add, but I wanted to say good luck! I have twins too, and it was very hard to pick their names. With our first it was pretty easy, the twins were really hard, especially since we had no boys names in mind. DH was convinced it was two girls and we had boy/girl twins. We ended up with similar sounding names, not on purpose but it happened and it works. For what it's worth my twins are:

Lucian Robert Blaise (the middles are after DH's and my Dad, both deceased) and we call him Luke

Lillian Grace- we call her Lilly, and I found out that Grace was my Grandma's sister but I never knew that til after- it was pure coincidence.

My oldest is Kayleigh Elizabeth. I think the kids names all go together but there is no theme per se.

I wish you the best of luck- twin names are hard and so is twin pregnancy.

I like Ella and Eva best off of the list.

My girls are Isabelle (Belle) and Amélie Juliette - French version of Amelia we call her Ami. I wanted Elodie or Genevieve but DH said no, he's no fun!

I have twin boys and it was really hard choosing their names because we were told that they were boy/girl twins so I had names picked out for a boy and a girl. The boy was going to be Mark Vincent Junior after his dad and our girl was going to be Marissa Rose so we would have Mark and Marissa. Well, when they came out they were boy/boy twins. I didn't want one Jr. and one not so back to the drawing board.

My oldest daughter is Alyssa Renae and for what it's worth, although I love her name, Alyssa is a very popular (common) name around here. I was so out of it when she was born that she wasn't named until the next day.

I really like Eva and Ella out of your list.

Well it sounds like most people like Eva and Ella! I am leaning toward Eva and Savannah. I have always loved the name Savannah and Eva is a family name. DH is no help whatsoever!!

Well, of COURSE I would vote for April. But Ella is a very popular name recently. I don't know if that sways you one way or the other or not. It's a beautiful name though.
I really like Ella & Emma.

You could pick similar first names, or really beautiful (non-similar) first names, and tie them together by giving them the same middle name. There's no rule that says your kids have to have a different middle name.
I actually think it would be cool to have the same middle name as a twin. (If I had a twin) :goodvibes

I have 2 nephews, and that is what my sister did. Their names are Michael and Eli and their middle names are both Benjamin. I really like that, so cute! I want their names to tie together since they are twins, but I also acknowledge that I am naming adults, not kids and they have to live with these names the rest of their lives. I don't want popular names, I haven't met many Ellas yet though. Hmmm....maybe April and Savannah. I go back and forth so many times! :rotfl:

I really like Ella and Eva. I think they are cute together. I had my DD in March and we named her Eliza Kayleigh. It was really hard for us to come up with a name that we both agreed on and when we found Eliza, we just knew it was right! How exciting to be having twins!!! Are your DD and DS excited?

Yes, we are all very excited. DS doesn't exactly grasp what's going on, but DD remembers me being pregnant with her little brother so she is excited. I think she's a little scared though too. I was a single mom with her for the first 4 years of her life and within the past 2 years she is getting a dad, a brother, and 2 sisters! That's a lot for a 7 year old to take in. It's not so much that DH and I can't come to a conclusion, it's that he has no input!

I say pick the names you like and forget about whether or not they "go with" your other kids names. They will be kids for such a very short time. Once they are adults, does it really matter if their names go with each other's?

I really like Ella and Eva. I also like Savannah. I was so happy to see that you didn't have Brittany and Briana on your list. I've taught four sets of twins with that combo in the past two years. This year it's kind of funny. I have both Brittanys in one class and both Brianas in the next.

That's funny! I'm not really a fan of the name Brittany.

I am starting to lean toward Savannah and April or Erika. I think Savannah for sure though.

Very true! And FWIW, I don't think my kids names go well together now that I think about it, which I didn't before I named them cause those were the names no matter what.

Anyway, my daughter's middle name is Alyssa so my vote would be to throw that in there somewhere. Other than that, I love the name Ella but I agree that it's getting popular if that's a concern for you (obviously not for me cause my daughter's name is Madison :lmao: ). I really like Savannah too. Don't think either of them flow well with Alyssa though. Other names we considered were Emma, Olivia, and Julia. Out of your list though I think I'd go with Ella and Savannah, just cause I really like both of them! Good luck with the naming-my husband had no input either and it drove me insane.

Your babies are ADORABLE!!! I agree that I am naming adults, not kids. I am using Savannah for sure, the other 3 names are still up in the air!

How about Alyssa Claire? I always thought that sounded pretty together. I also like Emma.

Love Amelia and Evelyn. My friend has a daughter named Evelyn and you hardly ever hear it.
You know what? I really like Evelyn! I like that it is longer than Eva, yet it is still very similar to Eva. I also like the Claire suggestion, that is good for a middle name. Last night I proposed Amelia to DH and it was the first time he ever showed any actual enthusiasm! He LOVED it! I am not sure if I do yet though. We've definitely got one of four down, Savannah.
