There have been a couple of recent threads on the DIS, one on unique names for girls and another for unique names for boys. Both threads had some pretty cool names and (IMO) some names that were really "out there". What do you think? What kind of a name do you like?
For the sake of discussion here is how I define each type:
Unique
An very uncommon name or a common/classic name with an unusual spelling like "Jaydin" for a boy or "Brylee" for a girl.
Classic
Classic names that have been around for a long time like "William" for a boy or "Emily" for a girl.
Popular
Any name on the top-ten list from the last 10 years like "Jacob" for a boy or "Madison" for a girl.
Other
I guess anything else. Family names, names in the middle of the Social Security Administration's list of the top 1000 in 2005 (http://www.ssa.gov/cgi-bin/popularnames.cgi), etc.
