At our elementary school we have over 6 pregnant teachers and 3 new babies. Adding the middle and high school, the amount of new babies coming this year is so exciting.

Since many of these teachers are first time mommies, have taught my children (many were not even married when they taught my older ones), our family has some special friendships with these awesome ladies.

I have picked up my crochet needle and started making baby blankets. I have made 5 so far, 4 boys and 1 girl. I am doing a very basc pattern, although it looks a bit more complicated. Using coupons from Michael's Craft Store I have been able to keep the costs well under $10., keeping it solid colors actually make the blankets look much better.
I have recieved many compliments and a few others have asked if I would take requests for certain colors, etc.
Some have ask if I would sell them. What do you think is a reasonable price to ask? I think $20 is pretty fair, probably on the low end as far as my time, but I think asking $25 is a bit much and anything more would seem a stretch. If I paid full price for the yarn it would cost around $20+ per blanket. All told I can finish one is around 5 days.

I will try to post pictures, but I don't really know how to do that(try to get DS to help me)
Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.:)

I think you are WAY under pricing yourself, even at $20! If you are paying $10 for materials, then you are only making $10 for five days of work if you price them at $20.

My Mom knits and crochets. She sells crocheted dishclothes (which are about 8x8") for $10.

I quilt, and have a number of friends that sell their quilts (I don't), but the rule of thumb that most of them use is either $10 per hour plus materials, or the cost of materials times three or four (depending on which friend it is and how complicated the design is) as a base price. My one friend always says "People don't value it very much if they underpay"

I'd suggest you go to Etsy.com and search on baby blankets to get an idea of prices for work similar to yours.
