I am actually visiting MeMom right now. I brought our finished scrapbook from our summer trip for her to see and there are a few of her in there. She threatened to do damage. I guess I will wait until she is done paying for me and Brooklynn to go to Disney before I move up from posting her pictures in a scrapbook that only a few people will see to the internet.

Yeah so I didn't log Memom out and log in myself. Sorry!

My Brooklynn is a Brooklynn Grace, too!
Amazing Grace!!!!! :thumbsup2

We hopped in the monorail and headed back to magic Kingdom and then caught the bus over to Fort Wilderness. Brooklynn and I sat on the outside while Mom sat on the inside. There was a chain where they could block the entrance to the outside and Brooklynn loved the sound of it as she banged it several times against the boat.

We headed over to see the horses since Brooklynn is such an animal lover. It was definitely a hit!

Then we went over to the barn where the keep all the big horses. I think if we had let her Brooklynn would have hugged them right around their necks. They are absolutely huge! You just really have to see them up close to realize how big they are. Mom marvelled at how clean the floor was.

P1130330.jpg

P1130332.jpg

Then because we had seen Samantha Brown's new show on the trailers that are decorated we headed that way. They are definitely in the holiday spirit. They do more decorating than most houses I know.

Mom loves the Wilderness Lodge! We decided to head to Downtown to do some shopping.

Wow that is so cool you visited Fort Wilderness. Thanks for the stable pics.....I love love love  horses and its great to see them well taken care of. Thats funny about the Sam Brown show...I saw that too and you got some great pics of the decorations! How cute a pic of Jill and Brookie asleep on her lap.....those days go fast.
FYI....my Brookie turned three on the 6th. The next morning she insisted on wearing "big girl" undies to school. Well, she has been dry ever since! When they are ready, they do it themselves I always say! :cheer2: Yaaa !!! Just thought I would share that with you.....hahaha
I waited to get a good pic of the guyser at WL. It didnt go off till our boat was far out and away  . I love your pictures! They have such feeling and mood to them....really you need to get paid more money for them! :yay: :rotfl:

:yay:
LOVE the Christmas pics.....The same places were shown on the Travel channel. Christmas at WDW special.

Did ya know some of these people stay the whole month of December in Fort Wilderness!!!!! I wish they would adopt me!:thumbsup2

:thumbsup2 Thank you for the wonderful updates and photos. We may have to wander over to FW on our next trip to see it in person.

Thanks for the pics. visiting FW and the horses was on our maybe list...I think that it is going to be on the must do list though as we will have the time and Tyler just loves horses. Have you been to the campfire sing along there before? That was something that we were going to try to make time for. DH says that our next trip to WDW will be a camping trip. We love camping but I am not sure that dragging all of our gear from Canada to Florida is really very economical:rotfl: (yes I am going with that!!:lmao: after long days in the park, i do not fancy sleeping on the ground!)

We leave on Tuesday for Detroit and arrive in Orlando on Wed morning. I look forward to seeing all the things in person that you have been so wonderful to post as pics here in your TR!

WONDERFUL pics....thanks for sharing....it's a lot of fun to see how the RV's decorate too....that is just great :santa: ....I might have to go see that for myself next time.....and the pics of the WL are great.....it's definitely my fave too!!! :cloud9:

Love the pics from fort wilderness and of course Brooklyn! She is soo cute! I love the fact that she knows where she is and enjoys it! I have been seriously thinking of going to FT wilderness our next time there. I want to go for 2 weeks in early december, so I think camping is the cheapest way to go...of course I should be able to convince DH since it will probably be about half of what we spent at the Boardwalk for one week:scared1: While we loved it...if I want to get him to go more often...then it is camping at Ft Wilderness. Oh well its still on Disney property!

First and foremost, carrieannie and snowbell - Why in the world would you people want to see a fat old school marm in pictures??? You're much better off with the prettier and more photogenic members of my family. Trust me on that!

I'm glad we still have a handful of readers hanging out. It's good to hear from everyone, and I enjoy reading all of your reports and seeing your pictures.

DisUnc - I know what you mean about those lucky folks who get to spend a lot of time at Ft. Wilderness. I think they have established really good friendships from being there.

k_reile - I hope it works out for you to go. I'd love to stay for two whole weeks! We get very excited about ten days, but maybe someday we can tack on a few more days. It's easy for me to do that, but some of the others have jobs that don't allow them that much time at once. The Boardwalk is where Jill says she'd like to stay if money weren't a factor.

VandyFan10 - I tried to get creative and give you black and gold. Wilderness Lodge was just perfect during Christmas. That's Trent's favorite. Someday, maybe I can stay there at Christmas and enjoy more time there. We didn't stay long enough. I could've just sat and rocked by the fireplace for a long time.

wannago2disney - I hope your trip is just great! I know the weather forecasts were 'iffy' for a few days, but maybe they're better now. Maybe you and scottny will cross paths. I'll look forward to many good pictures from you when you get back.

Mic n Min - It is worth the trip. It is something different to do. We want to get over to the campfire some night, too.

twob4him - I think you would very much enjoy seeing the horses and that immaculate stable.

Now for more pictures.

Not any of me, though!

I think when we last left off, we were here:

P1130356.jpg

I can't remember if we went back to the room for a bit, or if we just went to Downtown Disney straight from WL, but whatever the route, we ended up here:

eating this:

Their sandwiches are so good. The bread is just so good by itself.

The trees everywhere were just so cute!

P1130367.jpg

We shopped, (This is overhead on a wall, and I thought it was cool.)

P1130375.jpg

stopped to let the Genie take our pictures, (Hey, maybe he has a pic of me! You could ask!)

P1130387.jpg

and shopped some more.

P1130377.jpg

Downtown Disney has everything a little princess could want in a lifetime, I do believe.

P1130378.jpg

Brooklynn is getting her "big girl" bedroom fixed up with Tinkerbell stuff.

P1130389.jpg

To a claustrophobic, it just made me want to reach in and get the little dickens out of there!

She's become quite fond of Peter Pan, for some reason. She says, "PanPan," over and over and over.

And over.

She won't let us turn the page of the scrapbook Jill just finished, as she has to keep turning back to point at PanPan.

We could have stayed here for hours,
P1130393.jpg

but we needed to get Brooklynn to bed, so we bid Santa Stitch good-night.

P1130384.jpg

Our class had done a study of Kwanzaa before Christmas, so I took a picture of this to show them.

P1130394.jpg

Then it was back to All-Star Music. I can't say enough how very pleased we were with this resort. I have stayed at Sports twice, and it was okay, and my heart belongs to Pop, but we were very, very happy with the atmosphere and cleanliness and all around feel at Music, and we will definitely stay there again.

Okay, that's it for tonight. I've enjoyed my extra day at home. I got a lot of papers graded, and we've got a short week ahead. I could get used to four day weeks really easily! Have a good evening, everyone! Stay warm!

Hello!

I love your Fort Wilderness pictures!

I have never been there and now I really want to check it out.

Seeing the pics of Christmas decorations makes me sad that Christmas is over!

VandyFan10 - I tried to get creative and give you black and gold.

Woooooo Hoooooooo :woohoo: :jumping1: :woohoo: THANKS!!

I LOVE the Genie :genie: .....and I just noticed on this post we have some NEW smilies....They are GREAT!!! :disrocks:

:clown: ....I just had to use this guy :rotfl:

a girl after my own heart!

Thanks so much for the Wilderness Pics! I've never been over to the campground! So cool to see pics of something I've NEVER seen! :surfweb:

Thanks for the great pics Memom. I have yet to go to Earl of Sanwich. i don't know if my stomach could handle it. Although I must say I have been taking care of myself and have not had a stomach ache since New Year's Eve. TMI I know...lol
Do you think we could just get one picture of Memom.. just one??? :flower3:

I told you to ask the Genie about the picture! You can use VandyFan's newfound lamp. Maybe he can conjure up one.

Okay, the next time I look decent, I MIGHT consider a picture, but don't hold your breath. That could be a loooong time from now.

Can't you just piece me together from all of the snippets of pictures earlier in the report?:)

You should try Earl of Sandwich. The sandwiches are very big - plenty to share, and the bread is just delicious.

mandy200587 - Welcome to the craziness that is our trip report. There are some people with TN ties on board, like VandyFan and punkin, so maybe you'll enjoy sharing in the Tennessee "hillbilliness" around here.

We have a bunch of northern buds, too, like declansdad and pooksma from way up in Canada, and a bunch of people all in between. I wonder how many states really are represented by this crew? We need to all meet up at Disney World sometime down the road. However, being a teacher, I'm limited to when I can go. Everyone else was smart enough not to be a teacher, and they can go during more off times, so that may never work.

Okay, on to more pictures.

A common factor in all of our trips is me getting up early and going out for morning picture walks. Jill can sleep really late sometimes. I mean, I've known her to still be in bed at 6:30!!!

Yeah, I mean a.m.
And yeah, I'm crazy.
I'm usually up between 2:30 and 3:30. My alarm is set for 4:20, but it rarely goes off.

Trent worries about me if he wakes up for a 5 a.m. potty break and he doesn't hear any noise. He thinks I'm dead, because he knows I can't still be asleep at that late hour!

"Mom? Are you okay?"

"Yeah, I'm just um...Dising." (Not much noise involved in that.)

"Go figure," he says, as he lumbers back off to his bed.

Anyway, these are pictures from my morning walk around All Star Music and then over across the parking lot to All Star Sports.

Here's a daytime picture of the area we were in.

P1130395.jpg

Isn't it just cute?

P1130399.jpg

This is on the other side, going toward Sports.

P1130400.jpg

This is All Star Sports.

P1130401.jpg

P1130405.jpg

We've stayed there twice. It was fine, but I liked Music better. It was cleaner and brighter, in my opinion, and there were not as many groups of teenagers. Nothing against Sports. Just if I had a choice, I'd choose Music. If it meant not getting a room, I'd take Sports any day just to be in Disney World.

This is another early morning critter.

P1130407.jpg

I did a little shopping here. I got Trent an ESPN t-shirt and a travel mug.

P1130408.jpg

The cheerleader costumes weren't his size!

Then it was back over to Music to meet the girlies.

P1130410.jpg

We were going to go to Coronado Springs for breakfast, since Jill had never been over there. It was the last resort on her list, so we needed to get it crossed off. The only one I haven't been to now is Saratoga Springs.

We decided just to get a cab, rather than spend the whole morning maneuvering our way to Coronado Springs.

P1130411.jpg

In just a very few minutes, we were there.

Brooklynn bee-lined for the wawa.

P1130412.jpg

We taught her to say fountain. She comes close. It has two syllables. It's more like "out-ten".

We thought about eating at Pepper Market,

P1130413.jpg

but we weren't really keen on paying the extra fee/tax (whatever it is) to do so, so we just opted for the smaller food area.

This is where we met Maria Consuelita.

Not her real name, but the name we gave her.

Yes, it is very generic. Like calling all Tennessee boys Jim-Bob.

Anyway, we went through and got our little goodies and went to pay.

I got a mini quiche for us to share and a banana bread for myself. Jill got a cinnamon roll, I think.

I got water, as usual.
Jill filled her refillable Year of a Million Dreams mug.
The one that is no longer resort specific.
Good for length of stay in which it is purchased.
And all that.
You know the spiel.

Anyway, when we get up to the register to pay, Jill told Maria Consuelita that she had filled her mug.

Now we know that Jill never should have opened her mouth about filling her mug.

Maria C. said to innocent Jill...in her very best "Oh no you did-ent" voice...

"You need to PAY for that! That mug is no good here."
She had the whole body wiggle thing that went with it, too.

Jill's eyes got wide, and she looked like Disney cops were going to jump out from behind the counter, put her in stripes, and carry her away.

She told Maria C. she didn't know that they had a different mug policy, and she didn't want to purchase a drink. She said she guessed she'd just have to pour it out.

And she did. So either way, whether it went down Jill's guzzle pipe or down the Disney drain pipe, it was a loss for Coronado Springs.

Maybe they had a sign up somewhere indicating that other mugs were no good, but we didn't look for one we went in, obviously, and we didn't see one after Jill got pounced on. If we missed it, we're sorry.

Jill does NOT have fond memories of her first trip to her last resort.

Even now, when I mention CS, she gets a little jumpy.:)

Anyway, we managed to pay Maria C. and slink quietly out of the store. We slithered down to the waterfront to eat.

P1130414.jpg

Brooklynn found ducks, of course.

P1130416.jpg

After we ate, we roamed the gift shop.

P1130417.jpg

I'm sorry these are so fuzzy, because they are very cute and colorful, and I wish you could see them better. They aren't cheap, however.

P1130418.jpg

Next up - Epcot. See you soon.

I'm usually up between 2:30 and 3:30. My alarm is set for 4:20, but it rarely goes off.

 what time do you go to bed....6:00 p.m.???? if i had to wake up at 4:20 i'd be a female dog from h-e-double hockey sticks all day.....much less 2:30!!!

Great updates MeMom. I love all the decorated RV pics. I never would have guessed that they would do that.

I am sorry Jill had a bad memory of CS. It is one of my most favorite resorts. whey Did Mario consuelo have to be there that morning??? Give it another chance... lol
Joe thinks I look like the donkey at the gift shop. He said we both have big fronts. I must post a picture later. :cool1:
