Baby and the Tramp...and a Pop (half) Century! Where Did It Go???

I just got caught up on it. I loved the pictures at Christmas, I have yet to be down there during Christmas time. We've only been able to go during the summer.

 what time do you go to bed....6:00 p.m.???? if i had to wake up at 4:20 i'd be a female dog from h-e-double hockey sticks all day.....much less 2:30!!!

You look much too sweet and kind to be all those horrid things you said. I go to bed by news time, around ten. My body just will not let me sleep more than a 3-4 hour stretch. It's not good, because I yawn all day, and I'm wiped out in the evenings.

declansdad - You guys need to take Declan over to see the horses next time and maybe do the campfire sing-along. I bet he'd enjoy it.

Glenda - Did you see the show that Samantha Brown did on the Travel Channel? They featured those, and it was neat to see them in person. There was no one out guarding their stuff, either. They just had a trust factor going, and that was nice also.

Swans - Glad you're back on the boards. I know you've been very busy in the past few weeks.

Now, the question of the day is: Does anyone here really think snowbell looks like a donkey?!?!?

Loving all the pics MeMom!

The MK parade looks so much better in the daylight. We only saw it at night during MVMCP, and yes the soldiers were the best part. :goodvibes

Love the pics of GF. My camera decided to die when I got there. I can't believe how many resorts you guys get to. I try, but I guess I'm gonna have to wake up at 4am like you. You will not be disappointed with SSR when you finally see it. It is a beautiful resort. :cloud9:

The pics of Brooklynn and Jill on the beach are beautiful.

I can't believe that lady at CS. :sad2:

Man...I wish I could function on 4 hours of sleep!! :rotfl: I could get so much more done. Instead I arrive home after work, run the kids around, make dinner, eat and then I am practically worthless.
I think you and Jill should have followed up with the manager on the cup situation. But your description made me crack up...I can just picture it! :rotfl:

 what time do you go to bed....6:00 p.m.???? if i had to wake up at 4:20 i'd be a female dog from h-e-double hockey sticks all day.....much less 2:30!!!

Seriously.....I can't imagine...I'm in bed around 10ish and drag myself out at 6:30.....I don't do well (at least during a work week) if I don't get 7,8, or even 9 hrs of sleep...HAHA

I just got caught up on it. I loved the pictures at Christmas, I have yet to be down there during Christmas time. We've only been able to go during the summer.

Hi Mandy :goodvibes ....another Tn:cutie: girl :yay: ....be sure and come on over to my TR.....and sorry if you already have and I missed you....but I LOVED Disney at Christmas time....it is SO wonderful!!!!! :santa: I have a lot of fun over here to b/c MeMom and Jill have great pics too and with such a cute little disney baby princess:

I go to bed by news time, around ten. My body just will not let me sleep more than a 3-4 hour stretch. It's not good, because I yawn all day, and I'm wiped out in the evenings.

Wow....that is amazing....and no I don't really think it's good for you :snooty:

Now, the question of the day is:Does anyone here really think snowbell looks like a donkey?!?!?

Ummmmm....NO

Man I've got to get going on my TR again!!! We got our PhotoPass CD this week....so I'll post those soon!!!

Yep I'm another TN girl. I'll hop over to your TR Vandy Fan. I'm an hour and a half outside of Nashville.

After leaving Coronado Springs, we headed to Epcot.

These guys were greeting people along the walkway.

P1130419.jpg

We walked through shops for a few minutes. I didn't buy these, but I like taking pictures of anything, and these were colorful.

P1130420.jpg

We went over to Test Track, not to ride, but to find Drew a t-shirt and maybe a model car.

I took these pictures for him.

P1130422.jpg

P1130423.jpg

Brooklynn wanted to show her Uncle Drew that she was a good driver.

P1130426.jpg

Mommy told Brooklynn she had a lot to learn and a long way to go before she gets behind the wheel.

P1130427.jpg

We wandered toward World Showcase, and our timing was just right.

We met some Dream Teamers who had three fastpasses for us.

P1130428.jpg

After talking to Brooklynn-on-a-leash for a few minutes, they gave her our prizes.

P1130429.jpg

She said, "Ka-ku." They accepted that as being close enough to thank you.

Then we went on toward our destination.

P1130431.jpg

I love Epcot.

Okay, by now you know that I love ALL the parks for their own reasons.
I love the World Showcase part of Epcot the best.
I very much enjoy walking through every country and looking at every little detail of the architecture and decor and all of the many, many things in the shops.
Jill can attest to this.
I am very slow when going through World Showcase.

On this day, I loved the presents under the tree in the picture above - all decorated in the wrap representing the countries.

We started at Mexico.

P1130434.jpg

P1130435.jpg

Had to ride this, as always.

P1130439.jpg

P1130440.jpg

We looked but didn't purchase.

P1130447.jpg

Brooklynn found another duck.

P1130452.jpg

This one ate her head off.

Then on to Norway and the great Viking voyage.

P1130457.jpg

Inside the shop, a puffin Christmas tree.

P1130462.jpg

Since we are doing a unit on Europe in March, I asked if I could take a picture of the native costumes. These two cast members humored me.

P1130463.jpg

P1130464.jpg

Sweet pretzel bread with almonds is very good and very big.

P1130465.jpg

The Viking ship.

P1130468.jpg

We're going to be making a cardboard one of these during our study, so I took several pictures of it from different angles. I'm sure it will look just about nothing like this, but the kids will love it no matter what it looks like..

When getting prepared to start it the other day, I asked Trent if he had any fish net.

Fish net? He looked at me like I was weird. He does that sometimes.

I thought there might be a possibility he had some. He's been known to have some different things in his room with all of the parties he's been to and plays he's been in. He has had cheerleader megaphones and train conductor outfits and boas (feather ones, not snake ones) and sombreros and many other interesting things.

No, he had no fish net.

"Okay, then," I said, not giving up on his help with our project, "what about a dragon head?"

He shook his head and left the room.

It's a good thing he loves me, I guess.

So did you ever find out about the mug thing...its really bothering me. Were you allowed to use it at the resorts or not? I just think that attitude shown to sweet Jill was out of line. :rolleyes1

I am very slow when going through World Showcase.

When Dawn and I go I cannot WAIT to go slowly through the WS!!! My hubby is not very patient with that kind of stuff, and I have to contiunally snap pic's to remember what I so quickly walked past :rotfl: and ALL of the bulidings are really cool!!

I don't really have to shop much....but I like to walk through the stores and see what items they have in each country

I also am looking forward to riding the Malestrom in Norway cause believe it or not I've never gotten around to it

Sweet pretzel bread with almonds is very good and very big.

P1130465.jpg

HOLY COW this looks INCREDIBLE!!! I don't know if i'm just hungry or if this was REALLY good.....and you got that in Norway too??

Cool Dream Fast Passes!

I am looking forward to being able to take our time in the WS as well. Declan was good last summer but I am guessing that we will be able to look around a bitmore this summer.

Ok - I'll admit that I'm mad that I never received a dream! I went twice last year, and didnt get anything! I would LOVE to get a dream fast pass!

Thanks for showing the pretzel bread in Norway! I've only heard about the school bread! Hopefully the next time I go, I can try that too!

-Gmax :goodvibes

I have really enjoyed reading your trip reports and looking at your wonderful pictures! You have done a great job up till now and I can't wait to hear about your trip in March!

OMG you guys won a Dream!!! :cloud9:
:woohoo: :banana: :woohoo::banana: :woohoo:

Love the Maelstrom shot looking outside. :thumbsup2

Score on meeting Donald!! :lovestruc

I was bummed that I didn't get to see WS in the morning. We got to the park late the day we were going and my brother wanted to do the rides and I obliged him (since I did drag him along on the trip ), meanwhile all I wanted to do was walk around the WS. :guilty: We saw it at night, but it's not the same.

Glenda: Don't get too bummed, I was in the World 5 times last year and so far once this year and have yet to win a Dream.

So, I get this pm from another hillbilly from TN(MeMom). I reply to her...you know the standard, "Hey how you doing? Yep, I'm a hillbilly. I wear shoes...sometimes. etc....." Then I read her TR and see her kiddos and recognize some shirts they are wearing. I PM MeMom to tell her that,(basically I feel like an amateur stalker). We reply back and forth a few times and come to find out we know a lot of the same people. Yes, you hear it, just like I do....Cue the "It's a Small World" loop. :rotfl2:
So I write all that to say, "Hey Memom!" :wave2:

Elizabeth:)

Yeah -- You won dream fastpasses. That was actually my dream too... woo hoo... Love the pics

How tell me I don't have teeth like a Donkey...lol :rotfl2:

DisneywithJoe-September07038.jpg

twob4him - That's a little cutie in that picture smiling so big...even if you did chop off half of her head in the picture. Was that because you were doing so much jumping up and down with excitement?!?!

VandyFan10 - Yes, Norway, and it was so good. It wasn't so sugary sweet as some of the desserts are. Some of them are so sweet I can only eat a couple of bites. Plus, I love nuts of any kind, and it was loaded with almonds. They didn't skimp on those.

Glendamax - Your dream is out there, and it'll probably be even better than just fastpasses. Some Dream Team member is going to see you and all of your entourage of fans walking through someday and just be all up on you with dreams. Maybe they're just waiting for your mom to come again so she can share in the fun!

The schoolbread was good, too. We had that back in the summer, or maybe it was in October. Anyway, it was another huge thing, and it was pretty sweet, the best I remember. If I had to choose between the two, I'd get the almond pretzel.

nowellsl - It's always fun to have new readers coming out of the lurkers' corner! We'll be excited to GO on our trip and share it with you!

LurrrvtheDuck
- Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you Donald asked specifically about you! He wanted to know when you were headed back, since you've been going so often.

You are right about World Showcase not being the same at night. It's nice, but you can't see the buildings and the detail nearly as well. I like being there right as it opens, because you can get lots of good pictures of empty streets and shops. The WS pictures can look pretty awesome when there are no passersby in them.

eowensby - Isn't it crazy how my simple "hey fellow hillbilly" PM worked out? I though we probably knew of some of them same people around here, but never imagined how many we really really knew. I hope you'll enjoy following us along on our March TR.

snowbell - Both of you are just as adorable as you can be! I'll leave it at that.

Maybe we'll give Coronado Springs another chance in the future. I'll have to consult with Jill to see if she's up to it! :)

She will leave her mug safely zipped away in her backpack from now on.

declansdad - I think I remember you posting in that previous update. You and "ma" will have a great time walking around World Showcase hand in hand like two teenagers in LUUUUVVV!

If I didn't get everybody, please forgive me. We've been having meetings after school every day to work on our School Improvement Plans, and the trivial stuff like work sometimes cuts into my Dis time. (Hate it, but it happens!) So, I kind of rushed through this.

Have a good evening, everyone!

ok all caught up. great updates and pics. congrats on the fastpasses.
pics are great as usual.

In September we can meet and enter MK and start chanting "Give us a dream please". It might work. :rotfl2:

I hope a lot of you guys will meet up in June, and if you gather up to march in together in Dis unity, please do post a picture.

After leaving Norway, with mental directions on how I was going to create a cardboard Viking ship seared deeply into my brain, we went to Italy for a while.

I love the pretty streets here.

We found a place to sit at a table in the shade as we listened to LaBefana tell her Christmas story.

P1130478.jpg

P1130479.jpg

Brooklynn had fallen asleep, so we just sat there for a few minutes people watching and talking. We were in no hurry, as we were hanging around close to Germany for our Biergarten reservation a little later.

The Italian street performer came out on the other side of where we were sitting, so we had a perfect spot to watch him.

P1130485.jpg

P1130494.jpg

While he was performing, this little girl woke up.

P1130495.jpg

Then it was on to Germany for our lunch. We were doing the Candlelight Processional at 5:00, and Jill had been so kind as to let me choose the place to eat. Since it has been many years since I had eaten at Biergarten, that's what I chose - not so much for the food, but for the entertainment. I just thought it would be nice to have a little something different, and truly, how often in everyday life do you eat while being serenaded by men in knickers ringing cowbells?

So, here's Germany.

P1130496.jpg

Our greeter.

P1130497.jpg

Our entertainment.

P1130498.jpg

P1130501.jpg

I didn't take any pictures of the food. It's pretty dark in there, for one thing, and I didn't want to embarass Jill in front of our table mates, for another. We sat with two other families - a mom and daughter and a couple with a baby. They were all very nice, and it was a pleasant meal.

The desserts were more memorable than the food. Jill tried to eat a few dollars worth of food, since I was paying so much, but since that's really not her type of eating, she had to work at it.

St. George slaying the dragon.

P1130521.jpg

And that was the end of Germany.

I heading off to see my baby girl in a little while.
She called yesterday and said, "Pay me."
Accent on me, as usual.
She didn't mean she needed money.
She wants me to come and play, and so I will gladly do that!

Have a great Saturday, everyone!
