Mornin' peeps!

Another WARM day on tap for New England!! Back to work for me but that's a good thing.

All this warm weather is waking up the critters.....the mice in the walls upstairs were chewing SO loudly last night that DS10 couldn't sleep, so I had him come down to the couch. Boy were the cats going nuts, though!!

AND!...3 months from tonight we leave for Florida!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh man, I'm sorry....! It's been quite the year for germs. To quote a dear friend on Facebook:

So we found out yesterday that the landlord is having a deck built for Apt. B. Which for us translates to a complete lack of privacy. That was a huge draw for us with this place. DH and I use the small downstairs room as our bedroom, and it has its own bathroom too. It's on the back of the building and we have our own private deck out there. This new deck for the other apartment is going to abut ours at the very least for their entry. So no more leaving our bedroom door and bathroom window open when the neighbors are out there..... We are NOT happy. I'm not sure how this came about, since they have the entire front porch area to themselves. It's just going to change the whole dynamic of the privacy issue for DH and I.

::sigh::......Time to find a house me thinks.

So I just got a phone call from school reminding me that I need to call in DS...

Evidently the phone call I made to the principal to call off and the email I sent and stated, "DS is sick and won't be in, neither will I. Here are my sub plans" didn't count either.

The PTO president is my sub today and she texted me "I'm you today! Uugghh! I do not want your job!!!!!!"

She's subbed for others in the building before today. Guess I've got the excrement position. [which I already knew]

I took off my weight loss ticker because I've maintained. I have a new goal for this summer, but I'm over that ticker.

But now my siggie is naked....

No more germs... lots of sunshine... no nosey neighbors, and wow.. 3 months to Florida... That's something to look forward to. I wish I had something planned... DH still doesn't want to go back to Disney anytime soon, he still wants to go north to Maine ... or down to DC to the Smithsonians. I just want to be entertained... I think it will be another backyard summer... running around crazy with the kids activities, and before we know it it will be end of summer and we never planned anything. I'll be away this weekend w/ DD at a meet in York. (anywhere near you PAMOM)? then I have to get ready for a trip to San Francisco and wont be back until the day before Easter... I don't know how I am going to get anything done. DH wants me to cook Lamb... (I've never done that before... I don't think I like it, and neither do the kids..) my coworker suggested that I give him a recipe for a Brined BBQ smoky rub.. and let him cook them on the grill.... that way he gets them, and I can cook what I want in the house for everyone else... Ok... I gotta conf call now.. gotta run.

Well I don't think there's much to discuss. It may be that the insurance company finally caught up with him and he has to put something back there for this other apartment. It's kind of a weird layout, and for some reason there is a "door to nowhere" on the back of the house (with a good 8' drop to the ground), about 10' from our deck. It goes to this other apartment, we've been told it's just boarded up inside at the moment, and now they will have a deck to step out onto. I am really trying to figure out where exactly this deck is going to go, but regardless, their entry way is RIGHT there. Ugh.

Back from the clinic and BOTH kids have strep.

DS's temp was 102.7 and DD's was 104.2. They dosed both with ibuprofen right then.

Now we're back home and DD is sleeping, DS is playing P&F Across the 2nd Dimension.

I feel so bad for the kids because they have to miss their first ever t-ball practice. They were angels at the doctor despite feeling like dirt.
