That sounds so nice! Though I can't make that trip until the kids get older or we find someone who would watch them. My 6 year old on a plane that long would drive everyone nuts. My friend moved to Brisbane. Her DH got a job there for a year doing I have no clue what. :confused3 But she loves it so far.

Brisbane is a nice place to go to. Sub-tropical weather but a little hot and humid in summer.

Morning.

Yup. Don't tell anyone...but I have a TARDIS too. :upsidedow

:thumbsup2

And, new episode tonight!!!!!!!!! WOOT!!! (well, here at least...!)

I worked with a gal from Australia many years ago (don't know what part) and her stories of Huntsman spiders just about made my skin turn inside out. NO. Thank. You. :scared:

Hey there!! :surfweb:

Huntsman? They are just big hairy spiders that get sucked up the vacuum cleaner. After that, the hard bit is in finding someone game enough to empty out the bag.

It's the red back and the white back spiders you have to worry about. Those are the poisonous one.

I'm not sure when the Dr Who episodes were shown....I'm such a bad fan.

Oh my!

That's for the spiders.

And oh my!

That's for how quickly the thread moved last night / this morning.

Happy Weekend, ladies!!! :goodvibes

Mornin', Smiley. How goes it?

I had a little extreme couponing fun this morning. 15 boxes of cereal for under $10. Came out to .67 a box.

So proud. :lmao:

Now I'm getting together my real shopping list (which I do at a different grocery store) and I fear my bill will be much higher. ;) Going to pick up groceries for the boys for while I'm gone and get my last minute items for my trip, like protein bars.

Then it's laundry, laundry, laundry and getting the house relatively clean. :thumbsup2

Good deal! :thumbsup2

I have no plans until later today. Our friend is having a big 50th birthday party. I probably will do laundry, laundry, laundry, until then.

....already did two loads myself....:thumbsup2

So basically, we're all sporting this smilie today :laundy:

The only way I can get through :laundy: is by knowing I have :tinker: in my future. ;)

Mean Queen, have fun at the party!

And glad you enjoyed the cruise. :goodvibes

No laundry here... we're partying today.

Have a baby shower then a 1 YO birthday party tonight.

DH is working all weekend. Again. But we really can't afford to turn down Sunday pay. I saved $900 (we spent $400 of it) to pay for our South Dakota trip and he told me the other day he's been doing all the break-neck OT to save what's left for our Disney trip in May.

....yeah, but does it taste like CARDBOARD?

No.

It's Frosted Flakes. Can you say NOM??? :teeth:

Party on, Wayne!

Party on, Garth!

Sorry, flashbacks. In all seriousness, of which there's very little in my house right now, have fun!

My husband is outside mowing our lawn, hoping to finish it before it starts raining. It looks sooo windy right now. I'm trying to decided whether or not I think he'll finish before it starts. :scared1:

Yeah, you need something more reliable. That is more for some one who only needs a few hours. How about retail? They should be hiring for the season, which could turn to full time.

I have an Associates in Business, but I have not used it in ages. YEARS ago I was an administrative assistant to the executives, but all the computer programs I used are long gone. I could learn quickly, but places want you to know the programs before you start. Maybe an adult ed class would do the trick. I have not been in the work force for many years b/c I stayed home with my kids. Some of that time I provided daycare in my home, worked in daycare and I'm currently a private daycare provider. Who is going to want to hire me after being out of the workforce for so many years? Ugh What have I done to myself? Probably was not the best plan. :worried:

You'd be surprised. I may not have had the gap in employment you do, but I got hired after being a stay at home mom because of my previous experience in the field I was going into.

So you never know. :grouphug:

Hello all! You have been a chatty bunch while I was away. The cruise was great, the getting off the cruise... not so much. DD6 started crying this time the night before rather than her usual morning of. We had to skip breakfast the next morning to avoid the full on cry then listened to the tiny pitiful sobs as we drove back home. I think this child will one day work on a cruise ship because she loves it so much. I also felt like sobbing, but I know we will go again one day. It was nice to see the Dream not packed. We got quite a few trips on the AquaDuck with no line! If we continue to get good prices and low crowds, we may make Labor day a tradition (as long as the kids can catch up with all their missed school work.)

Glad you had a fun trip. AquaDuck looks awesome!

And herein lies the reason I will never get to see New Zealand (y'know, Lord of the Rings fan and all that.... ;)). It's TOO dang far on an airplane!! Three hours to FL is just about enough for me and even then it's the giddiness of that trip that helps get me there.

.

I would LOVE to go to New Zealand and see where it was filmed.
