...of course, there's the added stress of:
"gosh, I can't believe how much STUFF we've 'collected' over the last 22 years!" and now have to sift through....

.....nahhhh, just thinking aloud....those PH passes that I won are good for only 2 years, so, it's pretty much guaranteed that we will be going SOMETIME within that time frame....Ok, is the 'although' a hint?
So, yesterday I turned 50. 50.... Five-O.I'm not really sure how that happened. Wasn't I 30 like, last week?!! Sure feels like it. This has turned out to be "that" birthday for me, the one where you stop and look around and wonder. The next phase. ::sigh:: And I've decided to chronicle it in a few ways. First, I bought myself this REALLY cool journal (I love to write); it's leather-bound and looks like something right out of Lord of the Rings. It's my 50th-year journal.
I am also doing a photo-a-day project, as well as this really neat app I got on my phone called "1 Second Every Day." You shoot a short video, every day, and trim it down to your selected 1-second snippet. At the end of the year (or however long you want to do it), you can then view the collection of 365 seconds of your life! I'm a tad nostalgic like that.
As you can also see in my siggie, I've gone ahead and made a countdown to a trip I really, truly hope will happen. 2017 will be our 25th anniversary year, and mid-January is right around my birthday. We already have the park passes, and the Memory Maker package. What better way to use them! Basically I just have to save for the resort and food. All in all, not that much, and if life can stop throwing us major curve-balls, totally do-able. At the very least, it's something to have on my horizon to look forward to.

I love your ideas for making this extra special birthday memorable. Between the journal and the brief videos you'll have a very nice record of your journey during this 50th year. So, yesterday I turned 50. 50.... Five-O.I'm not really sure how that happened. That will mean that we all have to take turns at your shoes!!!
....actually, we got involved in a bit of a bidding war, but when the dust settled....@kimmar067, congratulations on selling your house! I hope you find a new house that will become a home. If you're planning a Disney trip for later in the year, after the move, plan to have the 'flu the bridge week between September and October (you know - the week that spans the last of September and the first of October)......
....well, maybe not new shoes, per se, but I DO need a boatload of boxes....I think kimmar's gonna need some new shoes.

......the seller accepted our offer!!! Woohoo!!![]()
....trust me - you will NOT be disappointed!Made a slight date change to my ticker. We are now looking at the week after Thanksgiving, or about 5 weeks sooner than originally "planned." It's a slightly better week for me to take off from work, still very low crowds, the room rates are only about $10 more per night, AND I think it will be totally worth that to be able to see the World in all its Christmas splendor!!

.....and so one birdie flies out of the nest....Big news in the Lego Clan household: this weekend, our eldest begins the process of moving out. So very bittersweet... Of course I'll miss him, but he's not going far (about 2 hours north of here). It's time, and he's ready. He's very excited about the opportunity, and I'm happy for him.
