Well, DH and I are officially booked at Pop Century for the end of August! Standard room (I don't want Preferred because I actually would rather be further removed from the "action"). I like a good coffee walk in the morning too. Neither of us has ever stayed here so it's something brand new to make new memories. And really, for this trip, it's mostly a place to sleep (although I do plan to catch a nap and use the pool in the afternoon of our arrival day; it's EMH at the MK that night, open til 1am!! That some of the best touring time).

I've got two ADRs made; one for BoG lunch and one for Afternoon Tea. Not sure on keeping Tea, though. I forgot they got rid of the a la carte menu and the minimum selection is $30/person. For $60, we can do a full buffet at Biergarten (DH's fave!) and leave feeling full!! So, I dunno. I'm thinking of the atmosphere and "take a break" factor, since it'll be fires-of-hell hot at that time of year, but I'm just having a hard time with the cost for what we actually get in food.

So, now I just wait, and hope and pray that this time it really happens.

Is your Afternoon Tea at the GF? I hope you figure out whether you prefer the atmosphere and taking a break; c.f. the cost.

Yes it's Afternoon Tea at the GF. DH hasn't even been IN the GF before!! I think it's a nice break from the crazy, and he should experience it once. I've done it three times so I'm just trying to be sure it's something we'd both enjoy before I plunk down that kind of cash on "atmosphere."

If we just need a break, I usually head to a resort. Poly used to be my go-to but with all the construction, it's not quite the same right now. We could just get a drink at Mizner's (at the GF), or take a boat ride to Ft. Wilderness and sit on the porch at Crockett's Tavern. There's a ton of choices, it's just that I like Tea and like I said, just trying to determine if I want to spend the money this time around.

Ok now it's showing up that way for me, too. Huh. That was weird!

How is everyone doing? Had a wonderful long weekend at home here. Weather is warming WAY up this week and I couldn't be happier!!! Short work and school week this week due to Memorial Day here. Love the time off, hate the abbreviated paycheck come Friday..... Oh well can't complain, at least I have a Mon.-Fri. job with NO weekends!!
