Babies R Us Coupon codes anyone??

I am going to order a crib for my sister and it is $77 for shipping. Just wondering if anyone knows coupons codes for money off or free shipping/

Can't help w/ the coupon code...but all I can say is OH MY GOSH! $77 for shipping??? I don't order from babiesrus because of their shipping. Have you shopped around? Target.com has some great stuff and often has free shipping on furniture...or walmart.com has free shipping site to store. And amazon.com? Free shipping AND no tax?

I take it there is no babies r us (or buybuybaby) near you or her? I'd send her a gift card to the store and let her go buy it. LOL Or a visa gift card so she can buy it anywhere that sells it.

Just as an FYI, there is tax anywhere Amazon has a physical presence. So we pay 9+% b/c we live in WA, and anywhere there is a fulfillment center they have to charge tax as well (and they are in several states). It's not tax-free everywhere, but count yourself lucky for being in a state where you don't pay it for amazon!

Thanks for the try! The code did not work in the promotional code box. My sister lives in Indy and they do have stores there, but this is a special order item, meaning they do not carry it in the store and this is the crib she wants! UGH! The shipping is ridiculous! I am still hoping someone might have a savings code or a free shipping code!!!

Sorry guys. Babies R Us is horrible with codes. And they just changed their policy now they no longer take competitor's coupons in the store!! They're kind of on my you-know-what list. LOL I shop buybuybaby now - they take EVERYONE'S coupons!!

FYI, I just googled Babies R Us coupon codes, and that's they only one I found that hadn't expired...maybe you'll have better luck searching.

I didn't know Amazon had actual stores, bumbershoot!! Thanks for the info. And, NY State just passed (or are trying to pass) a law that Amazon & all other online realtors that sell over $XX have to charge us tax. Apparently, NYS doesn't charge enough on everything else...they need some extra $$. So, my fun is soon to be over, too. Oh, well.

the code listed is only for in store purchases....if the crib is special order, they should be able to GFS order it for her. Perhaps you can get her a gift card for the right amount and she can go to the store or place the order over the phone. The only exception would be if it is an internet only item then they will not be able to GFS order it.

It's more that their HQ (and Jeff Bezos) are in Seattle (hubby and I met while working customer service there, and he's back this year after being laid off in '01), then there are fulfillment centers all over the place. If it were a few years ago the OP wouldn't have been able to not pay tax there b/c they had a center in GA...the two off the top of my head are in NV and TX, but I know there are others.

Right now it's the same for any place online...if your business is in a state that state has to charge tax.

I don't really mind paying tax or no tax online, but what DOES get a little bit weird is that taxes are so different. When I lived in SC tax was 4% or so, but they charged it on everything. Here in WA it's 9+, but it's only on "stuff"; not groceries you take home and prepare, but everything else. So what would a company in NY charge for me in WA and someone else in SC? And what about Oregon with NO sales tax? Figuring out that is the confusing part....

Can you get the crib ordered and sent to the store? My dad did that with the rocker I wanted and there was no shipping charge we just had to pick it up.

I'm also not happy with Babies-r-us. When I registered they took all returns and I did returns after my showers with some items on my registry and some not. After Noah was born I went to return a couple other items and if it wasn't on my registry they didn't want to take it. The girl at customer service (if you can call it that) was very snotty about it even though the sign above her head and the directions on her register said they gave store credit for items with out a receipt. Needless to say the manager came and approved the return since the signage was still there but told us it was changing. They said it was because people were returning so many things without a receipt. I just looked at them since its a baby store and I can't force people to buy off my registry and then even when they do it doesn't always get marked on there. One of the reasons we even registerd there was because of Targets bad return policy but now I'm not sure what people are going to do.
