Babies At Animal Kingdom

I was just wonderin if any knew if animal kingdom had got any baby animals at the mo??
I know an elephant was due to be born, in the nxt couple of weeks, but i want to find out if there are anymore!
My little cousin is desperate to see the animals and it would makes his day of he saw some little uns!

Hi, Kirsty. The baby elephant is big news, so I think that's why it's been publicized, but in the spring, it's highly likely you may see some other baby animals. Last year, we were very lucky . . . on our Kilimanjaro Safari ride, a baby gazelle had been born only an hour before, and his mom had him up an taking his first steps as 1we went near. It was one of the magical highlights of our trip!

I just read that the baby elephant died in the womb. How sad. Another female elephant is pregnant and has a 2004 delivery date. I'm hoping for the best.

A baby hippo was born while on our last trip, Oct. 02. You could go to conservation station and check out the camera viewing. conservation station is a great place to go, esecially with curious kids who want to ask lots of questions. The CMs are very eager and love to talk about the animals.

I saw a baby Rhino there last year. I'm not sure about the elephant. I took the backstage safari tour last May and we were told by an elephant keeper that there were two pregnant females with 2003 due dates. One was March/April and the other was June/July. I'm sure that there will be babies around. I don't know if you have any plans to visit AKL, but there could be baby animals there too. I saw baby impalas there last May. They were so cute. Happy hunting.

Cool, we are going at the end of July. Maybe we can catch the new baby elephant that is due in that timeframe.

Here's the newest baby... Don't know when it was born, but the picture is from this past Sunday. The safari driver said this was the first he's seen it.

I was at the AK on May 20th and we saw a brand new baby Wildebeast. It was only a few minutes old. It was so amazing and beautiful!!!! A real treat. AK is my new favorite park!!!
