Mine does this too. It drives me absolutely crazy when I start to doze off on the couch and he starts flashing through the channels -- maybe he's really trying to tell me something. I don't understand why he can't watch the entire show. What did men do before remote controls were invented?

okay Snoopy- our DHs must be twins separated at birth. DH can be sound asleep on the couch with the remote in his hand, and he will suddenly be wide awake if anyone tries to change the channel. I guess I too am the only one in our house who has figured out the great mystery of how to put a new roll of toilet paper on the toilet paper holder.
............is DS13 cranky with me because the Red Sox lost and the Yankees won? Maybe I'll make those yogurt and feta chicken brochettes for dinner Tuesday night. I really like those. But I have to tutor at 7. I could make them Wednesday night.

I just ran to Walmart to pick up a few things $127 later...ugh, well at least some of it was for the business...

I did pick up the Adkins book...I think I will try it...if I cook very low carb meal, my hubby will never know he is on a diet, lol,lol,lol...and he takes the leftovers to work so he will have a low carb lunch too, lol,lol,lol,lol

I'm about to fall asleep at my desk right now and it's waaaay too hot to take a nap in my car today. It's supposed to be 97 today, so I'll just DIS at lunch.

Still waiting to hear from DH if his work meeting will be in WDW this year, then I can start the planning.

Need to get some groceries on the way home today. I'm sick of making the same old stuff though. I need some new recipes.

Still can't decide if we want to build a house or stay put. Why or why did the mortgage rates have to climb back up when we started looking? sigh

I think my hub has had about 4 hours sleep in the past 3 days.

I was planning to take the kids to the mall today (the Mall thread got to me, lol). DH has been at work since 6:00 pm last night. He is trying to get someone to come in and relieve him.
He wants us to wait til he gets home, so we can go to the mall together.

Why would he want to do that??
I asked him, " Um, wouldn't you rather sleep, lol?"
He says he's been chugging coffee and will be all wound up when he gets home, and will sleep tonight.
He said the same thing yesterday, and then he got called into work!

Wishy, they kept replaying that Ozzy piece over and over and over and over on tv, I'm shocked you didn't catch it! They even played a bit of it on the radio on my way to work this morning DH thought it was tooooo funny, of course DH is easily amused.

My babbly for today:

MY BIL gave my son an old Bronco to work on. Very nice of him, he's the bestest brother-in-law ever.

Who invented bosses? They did a very poor job of it and should start over and try again. Mine was particularly un-manageable today. Couldn't make up his mind about ANYTHING.

Taking the Cape May Lewes Ferry to Delaware to the outlets with oldest DS on Sunday. The price to take a car over is just shocking . It's gonna cost me more than $50 before I even do any shopping!

Anyone ever get one of those vintage photos taken? Hubby and I have an appointment for Saturday afternoon to have one taken. They look neat but you can't really go by the samples they show you and I don't know anyone who's done them.

Katie--the trip will be GREAT!! And they will be wowed, amazed and stunned at how smooth everything went, you planner extrordinaire, you!!!!! Don't worry. You're going to WDW!!!!!!

cgcw--buying the car was actually a hoot. We have a local Subaru 'undealership' The sales director actually has his Master's Degree in Divinity (of all things!), and none of the salespeople have ever sold anything before (allegedly anyway). We dealt with a really nice young woman, who listened to us, and got us exactly what we wanted. It was supposed to be a car fresh off a Subaru transporter, and it got delayed 2x. She called us and said that the exact car we wanted was at another dealership, and that they could have it in 2 days, and it did have 100 miles on it, but she would knock off an additional $500 for those 100 miles. I feel really good about it. No buyer's remorse
