BA/VA Fuel Surcharge Refunds

We applied for this back in October 2008 and like many others on here we hadn't received anything. We've now received a letter asking for further info. There's not really any more info to give them than what they've already had so I've got to wondering if maybe we won't qualify because our plane tickets were booked through VH as a package rather than directly through VA, even though we paid a fuel surcharge of £60 each.

Has anyone who booked a package with VH received a refund?

I have been paid out 2 cheques no problem but got letter a couple weeks ago asking for more info for our last claim.
Looks to me like they have found a way to get out of paying. I have now given them a copy of the original email confirmation, frequent flyer numbers, passport numbers, everything they could possibly need. Its a valid claim for the given criteria on their site. I sent them a 2nd email last week wanting a reason why they are not paying and told them not to send another email saying they do not have enough info.

I applied for all 5 of us and wehave erecieved a cheq for my husband but nothing for the four of us !! How bizzare is that ????

We got ours last year and that was from a Virgin Holidays Package and I filled in the claims forms online. Think it was about £24 for two adults and two teenagers. Nothing to get excited about but better in my pocket than theirs.

So they are paying out on VH bookings.

I've just received another email stating we don't qualify. Maybe they think the £60 fuel surcharge we each paid is fair and not price-fixed! I've still got our original VH invoice so I'm going to send them a copy of that.

same here, was told we dont qualify even though we paid the fuel surcharge and was in the qualifying period...
