BA upgrade to WTP for £159

HI all,Flying out to TPA on 14th aug from LGW, 2 adults and 2 teens. On looking at my booking there is a special offer to upgrade to World traveller plus for £159. Would be nice but £640 is a lot of spending money, thinkig about it, this is only one way of course, the outward journey. .It states there are only 5 seats left, no doubt that that will be a marketing ploy innit!!!

Your views would be appreciated.

Never tried it but expect its similar to VA PE. Personally I don't value it more than £100 max. I love flying Business class with lay flat seats but PE isn't enough of an improved service to be worth anymore than £100 more than economy.
Others think its well worth £200+, I would say if you have the money spare then yes it would be worth it, if you haven't then don't do it.
Flying out PE again on Wednesday but using airmiles.

We're also going BA this year and I would upgrade for that price if the offer was on my booking. However I prefer to fly the better class on the return as we tend not to sleep on the flight out, but do on the homeward journey. Also, we are paying for extra luggage on the return so that also 'reduces' the cost for extra comfort. I do agree with Wayne in that I would never pay full price or anything close to it for an upgrade to PE/WTP as it's not THAT great, but there is no doubt that it is more comfortable. I'm going to have a look at the perks for WTP as I can't recall offhand what they are
