Some of you may recall that our our trip to DLP on 8th July BA lost 7 bits of our luggage. 5 cases were returned eventually but 2 are still missing:scared1:

One turned up but BA will NOT return it as it had a bottle of wine in it which smashed(the bottle was wrapped in bubble wrap!!) and they won't courier it due to health and safety. The case has been destroyed :scared1:

One still missing

does it get any worse...............

I remember reading your first post on this subject.

Are the contents of the case going to be returned or were they also destroyed?

The contents and the case have both been destroyed!

How long has this been now?:sad2:

Are they going to pay to replace the one they destroyed?

The last bags has now been missing 20 days and counting.......... We have just put in a claim for the destroyed bag. We also have a claim in for the other 5 suitcases that turned up on day 6 of our 7 day holiday:scared1: . Another ongoing claim is for the out of pocket expenses we incurred whilst on holiday. Then there is our phone bill..........

it sounds like a nightmare:hug: hope you can get your claims sorted out as quickly as possible:wizard:

This is awful, I've heard from a lot of people that BA lost their luggage. The woman I work with saw something on tv/internet a couple of weeks ago that said BA were shipping left luggage from Heathrow to ITALY - to be sorted, there's hundreds of bags. So there's no-one down the road with a large warehouse and willing workers keen to get a job????

Bizarre.

OMG thats terrible, I really hope you get full compensation and that nothing precious to you was in that case:wizard:

The last bag has turned up and you should see it. It must have been sitting on a runway for the 20 days because everything has mould on it. It absolutely stinks:scared:. The tolietries bag is caked in toothbrush and nail varnish - maybe would have been better if it hadn't turned up :headache:

That sounds disgusting. I would have but the suitcase and it's contents straight in the bin.

Imagine someone have the brass neck to deliver it in that condition!

Just terrible. How can BA get away with it? It all has put us off flying with them.

This is terrible Jackie, I hope you manage to get some compensation from them :sad2:

If we could guarantee that they would replace everything we would - But counting up the value of the make up bag and tolietries bag alone would bankrupt BA if they had to replace it ( I have expensive tastes). Some favourite clothes cannot be replaced. I don't know what we will do yet - I am sick of the whole thing. I just feel very cheated of my holiday at the moment:headache:

They should compensate you for that bag even though you got it back, as it is their fault it got in the state it did. I would let them get away with it.
