Good Morning!

We are doing a B2B on the Wish. Our stateroom doesn't change.

Could someone tell me what the current procedures are ..do we disembark as a group with others doing B2B? Are we assigned a boarding group at Check-in, as we would for the first leg?

I also wonder if, because its B2B, if checking in at midnight for online checking, really matters and if I can just check in in the morning of check in date.(for boarding group assignment)

Thank you for any details. Other posts I found on this process were not detailed.

Doing a B2B next month on the Magic. Stayed up til midnight to check in for the first cruise. Just checked in for the second cruise a moment ago. PAT and BG for the second cruise don’t matter - we will be escorted off the ship after the first cruise and back on the ship for the second cruise as a B2B group.

You will be given info in your cabin for the meeting place after the first cruise. Everyone doing a B2B will meet, leave the ship together and reboard together.

I did a B2B on the Wish in February.

We were told to meet at The Bayou on deck 3 on the final morning of the first cruise. There, everyone was given a special ticket to get back on as a B2B guest. After everyone else debarked, we were escorted as a group to the exit. They took our Key to the World cards on the way out.

In the terminal, we all went through the regular check-in process. If you have DisneyBand+s, they need to be relinked for the next cruise. You'll need your passports, boarding document, etc.

Then, we had to wait around for a bit while they prepared for us to reboard.

Whoever was supposed to tell us that we could reboard didn't. Or, if they did, then it was very quiet, because nobody in my party heard the announcement. So, we boarded with concierge guests.

Marceline Market will give you free specialty coffee drinks when you get back onboard. Also, you can go to your stateroom, even if the barriers are still up.

I'm not sure how we're supposed to get our Key to the World cards back. I asked on the way off the first cruise and they told me to go to Guest Services after I reboarded. Guest Services told me that they usually hold them until the end of the cruise, but that they could get my cards if I really needed them for something. I let them keep the cards, then returned on the final night, as instructed, and they were surprised that I wanted to get my cards back at that time, but they got them for me without any hassle. I don't know if I would have gotten them back if I didn't go to GS. Maybe they automatically give them back when you leave the second cruise or something?

Anyway, your PAT and BG for the second cruise don't matter, so check in whenever and pick whatever.

I tend to lose my Key to the World Card at some point during the cruise and have to get a replacement (usually find it later in a pair of shorts I took off) --- I will make sure that happens on my upcoming B2B so when they confiscate my old card at debarkation I still have a souvenir copy.

Although it seems they are no longer issuing a KTTW card when you get on the ship if you are using a MagicBand+ so my scheme may be a moot point.

The KTTW card will be in an envelope in the fish/shell/etc. next to your stateroom door. I've never heard of them not issuing a KTTW card.

The Magic is testing it and the new KTTW cards are basically blank, with no dates or muster station info. It's supposed to be to "reduce waste", and if this rolls out fleetwide, I wouldn't be surprised if Castaway Club lanyards get phased out too.

I know that is the way things have been done --- However, I saw reports a week or so ago that people checking in were given the option of KTTW or DisneyBand+ activation and the KTTW was issued at the check-in desk.

Boo!

I guess I'll just have to choose KTTW card and then activate my band later. Unless the card is blank. Then, there's not much point.

I like how "reducing waste" means "spending $45 per person", too.

No one is saying that people have to get the magic band, though.

I actually like the Castaway Club lanyards so I hope they don't get rid of them!

Thanks for taking the time to give all of these details!

We won't have the Magic bands, as we plan to use KTTW cards. So if they take them when we leave the first cruise, I guess they will leave new ones by the stateroom door for the 2nd cruise?

Do we still go through the Customs process after cruise 1 or this the group 'held' elsewhere ? I was guessing we do need to go to customs since technically, we are back in US?

Glad to know Boarding group doesn't matter for cruise 2!

For the specialty coffees at Marcelines, do I need to show them the ticket that was given to us earlier? Otherwise how would they know ?

What time did you have to go meet the group on deck 3? Trying to see if we need to rush through breakfast.

Should we still exit our stateroom early so we are not in the way in corridors? I don't want to inconvenience the stateroom workers...they are busy enough!

Sorry..another few questions. For checking back in at the terminal for cruise 2, do we get in line with everyone else or do they process B2B group first, together?

Which boarding document do you mean we need? Sorry if that's a silly question!

I am guessing that our account for charges closes out automatically at end of cruise 1 and a new account is started for cruise 2 ?

I assume that any magnets etc on our door will be left intact and I don't need to remove them and put them back up?

Yes you will get new KTTW cards for the 2nd cruise.

Yes you must go through customs. So you will need boarding documents (passports, arrival form, etc)

The did not ask us to show anything for the coffee. You are back on before even concierge so I guess thats how they know.

You should be out of room by 8 AM. I believe they had us meet at 9:00 AM which is plenty of time and on the Dream they had food there too. Departure Day breakfast is FAST. You will not be late.

Magnets are likely fine.

Yes they will close out the account charges for one cruise and start a new folio for the second.

You will be walked through customs into the terminal together. I suggest sitting near the other B2B cruisers so you are aware of when they let your group reboard.

I’ve done a B2B2B and the meeting place was different for the two cruises. It depends how many people are doing the B2B. They had pastries at one B2B and none at the second. When we left, they didn’t take our KTTW card. How do I remember? DH was not paying attention and used his old KTTW card to try to board the ship for the 2nd cruise. :confused3

Getting back on board depends on many factors so you may only sit for a few minutes or it could be hours. Once on a B2B, we didn’t board until almost noon but we were the first group to board. Most times you are back on board before the new cruisers start into the terminal.

Just remember to be flexible and you are going to continue your cruise while all of the other 3000 people have to go home!

I'll try to answer the questions that aren't answered already.

We won't have the Magic bands, as we plan to use KTTW cards. So if they take them when we leave the first cruise, I guess they will leave new ones by the stateroom door for the 2nd cruise?
Yes. Same as the first cruise. You can duck under the straps to get to your room if you need your new card before the rooms are open for everyone else. Your stateroom host should know that you're B2B, but you might want to confirm with them, just to be sure that they get the room ready early.

Do we still go through the Customs process after cruise 1 or this the group 'held' elsewhere ? I was guessing we do need to go to customs since technically, we are back in US?
Yes, you need to go through the same process as you do when you finish any other cruise. That means having your passports checked and declaring anything that needs to be declared at customs. But you can just leave everything on the ship and worry about that after the second cruise.

For the specialty coffees at Marcelines, do I need to show them the ticket that was given to us earlier? Otherwise how would they know ?
You give the special ticket to the person in the terminal that's guarding the boarding door, so you won't have it. Many cast members will remember that you're B2B, even if you've barely seen them. I don't know how they do it! But if they try to charge you, just let them know that you're B2B.

What time did you have to go meet the group on deck 3? Trying to see if we need to rush through breakfast.
We met at 9am. Breakfast for us was at 8:15am and we didn't have to rush at all. Breakfast service is pretty quick on the final morning.

Should we still exit our stateroom early so we are not in the way in corridors? I don't want to inconvenience the stateroom workers...they are busy enough!
You're supposed to be out by 8am, anyway. That gives the stateroom hosts enough time to clean everything before the next cruise.

Sorry..another few questions. For checking back in at the terminal for cruise 2, do we get in line with everyone else or do they process B2B group first, together?
Nobody else will be there, yet, so the B2B group will be processed first.

Which boarding document do you mean we need? Sorry if that's a silly question!
I like to print the document with the QR code on it. I don't trust my phone to behave. So, that one! And your passports or other acceptable ID documents, too.

I am guessing that our account for charges closes out automatically at end of cruise 1 and a new account is started for cruise 2 ?
Yes.

I assume that any magnets etc on our door will be left intact and I don't need to remove them and put them back up?
Yeah, nobody's going to mess with your stuff.

It's my first time on the Fantasy and my first B2B too in August!
Are there any big differences between the ships?
Has anyone done a B2B in Europe and noticed longer wait times or is it just random how long it may take?

I can't answer your question on Europe because we have not done a cruise there. It's on our bucket list!!

However...Fantasy is our favorite ship! We have sailed on Fantasy 5 times and I think she will always be our favorite, no matter how many new ships are built.

There are definitely differences in the ships, with some being what I think is significant (especially capacity, physical size and in some aspects, available offerings) . One source of visual info that is useful are the multitude of YouTube videos. Some of them give good tours of the ships.

Enjoy your cruise, embarkation day will be here before you know it!
