Hope this tread turns out to be interesting with lots of responses.

Let's talk B I N G O.

I personally can't wait for pajama bingo. That is going to be highlighted on my Navigator!!!!

We were disappointed in the bingo onboard. We thought it was expensive for the few games they played. On our cruise it was Shaker calling the numbers.

SSB knows that it is crazy to spend so much money on... but loads of fun, with winning at least sometimes. Can't wait for 10/18 Wonder! :)

Anyone had "caller" on Wonder lately?

what kind of prizes do they have. i have heard its only a few games at a time so are the prizes good since it is so expensive?

On my Wonder cruise last month not many people played bingo so the winnings were rather low. It ranged from under $100 to maybe $250 and then on the last night there was a "jackpot" of $500 that two people split.

But a small crowd meant we had a whole lot more fun with the CMs. It felt like we were in a private club. Worth the money to play.

From what I read on the navigator which I found on the boards, Pajama Bingo will be on the morning of our sea day - apparently you get a prize if you show up in pajamas.

Sigh - The bingo jackpots on the ship don't sound too high.

Looks like we need more bingo stories - keep on posting.

It cost me $25 to play.. and we played only 3 games.. maybe 4.. I waited for 1 number on the last game for ever and still lost :sad1:

My mom and I tried the Bingo on our first Disney Cruise (9/16/07). We were very disappointed with the cards they use. We each purchased the $35.00 double card pack (six games on one sheet). The cards they use are punch cards. You punch through the number and fold down the tab. This works fine for the first game, however, you are then required to use the same cards for the three subsequent games (the last being a Cover All). You are instructed to turn your sheet over and smooth the tabs flat to start the next game. After the second game your not sure which tabs are up or down (Talk about hanging chads). For us, there was no entertainment value of our $70.00.

We went to the first game of the cruise and ended up having a blast! On our four night, Jamie called and had different helpers through out the week. (Snow White's favorite number? 50 - Five Oh, Five Oh, I love to play Bingo!)

We ended up playing all but the pajama bingo game (we had Palo's brunch ressies). My aunt won $67 one game:cool1: , I won $130 one game and split $180 another:banana: , Mom won $133 and $176 (she also won the $300 credit at the DVC presentation - she actually left the cruise with more money than she came on board with!):yay: :woohoo: :dance3: :cheer2: .

It tended to be small groups 20-40 people, except the last game when the final snowball was up to $1550.

The punch cards are hard to get used to, but Jamie pointed out that for the last game, bend your tabs the other direction, it makes it easier to tell what's been called.

My family and friends are all going on our first Disney cruise in Feb. 08:cool1: and my mom is really looking forward to playing Bingo. How does it work? How much does it cost (I saw $35 somewhere) and when you pay that, how long are those cards usable? Thanks for your help.

I never play BINGO, but on the Magic, I was hooked. It was so much fun! I don't buy souvies, so that was my BINGO money. Our jackpot on the last night got up to $5,000!!!!!!!!!!

When I walked in to play, I was shocked and tickled to see my 20 year old son there with a group of college-age kids he met on the ship. They were really getting into it!

It's expensive. I remember $35 each time, but then the last night, the jackpot cards were $50! Start saving your pennies, because the fun you'll have is priceless! I never thought BINGO could be so much fun, but the CM callers were hilarious!!
