Can I use DxDP at Beaches and Cream for sundaes or those wonderful sounding treats they have?? If so, what would it cost credit wise? Also, separate question, do they have non-dairy ice cream (soy or rice based) for dairy allergies? Thanks!

You sure can. It will count as one of your sit down table service credits.

Beaches and Cream will be 1 credit on the DxDDP. You can get a sundae as your dessert. There have been a few reports that a group of people have pooled their credits to get the Kitcen Sink, but in general it is excluded from the dining plan.

We had the DxDP and ate at B&C one night. They don't have appetizers, so they are more likely to let you pick "Signature Sundaes" for dessert. It was very enjoyable, especially the desserts! However, you'll find some on here who will tell you it is not worth a TS credit.

Cost-wise that may be true. But my thought is, it is vacation! If you want a B&C burger and a yummy dessert, go for it! If you are short on dining credits (because you are doing many Signature meals, using room service, stretching it over that extra day, whatever...) I would get a B&C dessert out of pocket, then eat elsewhere (DH thought Hurricane Hannah's burgers were superior, I thought they were comparable).

If it helps, I had a Cheeseburger with a No Way Jose. i still dream about that sundae :)

DH had a cheeseburger and an old Fashioned Sundae (chocolate) and DS (6) had a Hot Dog. He wouldn't eat the Mickey Sundae! He said he wanted just plain vanilla. They even brought one by the table to show him what he was missing! He doesn't do chocolate, toppings, sweets... I don't know what planet he's from! :) But our waitress was so sweet! She was having none of that. She brought him 2 HUGE chocolate chip cookies "to go" with his ice cream. He doesn't like chocolate, but he was in heaven with all that attention! And he did at least try a cookie in Epcot.

I thought the service was great. We will definitely be going back in october to take the extended family for dessert. I want to see my little brother and dad's faces when they bring out the Kitchen Sink! :thumbsup2

If you are asking about getting just a sundae and having the DDP cover it, there really isn't any way to do that. You would either have to sit in the restaurant and order the full meal, in which case you get any of the specialty sundaes (except the Kitchen Sink) for dessert (children are eligible only for desserts from the child's menu) or you can use a snack credit to buy ice cream from the takeout area. You can't get the speciality sundaes there and the dining credit covers only single scoop cones and beverages.

And on DXDDP you can get onion rings or chicken soup as the appetizer, maybe chili.

Can you get a cone or sundae without table service and have it count as a snack? I thought B&c had a takeout window?

Yes, at the takeout window you can use a snack credit for single cones, a single scoop, or a beverage. Sundaes are not eligible for a snack credit. Not sure about the milkshakes and floats but they are a bit high on the price side for snacks.

When we stayed at the BC in October, we were able to get a very generous 2-scoop ice cream cone using 1 snack credit and that was thru the take out window.

I took this picture of the take-out window menu in October. You can see which of the ice cream items count as a snack credit. HTH:goodvibes

According to the picture, only single scoop cones & cups and ice cream sandwiches for snacks (not doubles, although someone did report getting a double cone; you can get soft drinks too). No sundaes, no milkshakes or malts.

Thanks everyone!! Believe it or not, we have several credits that are not already assigned to adrs.....and are staying at BCR....so B&C here we come! Sounds like wonderful way to spend our day off....BCR pool and B&C sundae luncheon!! YUM!:dance3:

This surprises me. I was under the impression that you could get something like onion rings or chili as your DxDP appetizer.

This is good to know. We are going in June and were going to get the No Way Jose and have it for lunch and pay OOP. However, since we are on the DDP and if are hungry enough then, we can use TS and get burgers and such too?? I'm just afraid that then I would be too full for the sundae

I first read this as "would be too full FROM the sundae" and wanted to totally agree. We made the mistake of eating burgers and fries before our Kitchen Sink...never again! Lesson learned! We'll be going straight for the kitchen sink first next time, we don't want to waste stomach space on those pesky burgers.:rotfl2:

That's a possibility you have to consider, if you don't want your entire group to spend a TS credit when you really want is a sundae, you weren't really interested in the full meal. If this is the case, don't look at B&C as a meal, go in and pay OOP for sundaes. Of course, that doesn't help if you got the DDP and your intent was to prevent buying anything OOP at all.

The ice cream sandwich from the takeout window is well worth the snack credit in my opinion! I don't have a pic, but it's pretty darn big...and yummy!!

Exceellent! We arrive at BCV tomorrow around 2:30. Beaches & cream sounds perfect!
