Ayres Hotel looks nice, at a decent price. The distance doesn't bug me as long as I can use ART. Has anyone tried it?

My sister and her family stayed there in December and loved it. They plan on staying there again this year. She said the room very clean and beautifully decorated and the breakfast was wonderful. They had a car, so they didn't use the ART.

We will be staying there this September and will post a review of the hotel after. Ayres is still the #1 hotel on TripAdvisor for Anaheim so they must be doing something right.

If it is anything like Ayres Inn Orange, you will not be disappointed.

Love the management at the Orange location, the free hot breakfast and the ART is very convenient.

I've stayed at Ayres, both Orange & Katella. You can't go wrong with either. We stayed at Ayres on Katella for 4 days last month. ART stops at the front door, think it's $5 and you can buy tickets at the desk.
Hot breakfast is good, beds are amazing. Evening reception with beer, wine, chips. Fresh cookies at certain times we lucked out twice. Mini fridge and microwave in the rooms.
If you take in an Angels game it's about a 10 minute walk.
Price them out online then call you may get a better price if you're a repeat customer.

Haven't stayed there myself, but only because I'm fussy about being within walking distance. It's been consistently rated number 1 in Anaheim on TripAdvisor, so must be pretty good :thumbsup2

We stayed there a while ago on a quick trip to visit family in the area (no time for the parks :(), and we really liked it! The breakfast was great, rooms were spacious and comfortable, overall just a great stay. I would totally stay there for a Disney trip if I didn't care about being within walking distance.

Stayed there last fall when we went to DL. It was clean, nice, and affordable with a generous breakfast spread. Pool was small and blah. Pretty quiet even though one side overlooks the freeway. Was literally only a few miles from the parks but it felt like 10+ minutes driving to the parks, then dealing with parking, then getting the tram or walking from the garage. We didn't go back to the hotel midday because it was too far/too much to deal with. Needless to say we are staying across Harbour this time and will leave our car parked at the hotel!
