So I hadn't realized you could pre-boos mixology classes and martini tastings-- I JUST found them on my pre-planner for my cruise, and of course: Sold out.

What now?? I can't believe I missed these, we have a little group and it was our number one thing!!! :-(

If you belong to a cruise group for your sailing date, you can get a group together and set up your own private event. Someone is doing this for our cruise, but I don't know all the details of how it works.

We're only six people so I don't know if we'd qualify for this! LOL.

And in this same vein--- I could've sworn I booked the Princess Gathering, but it's not showing up in our activities and SURPRISE SURPRISE!! It's ALSO booked up. Are we out of luck on this as well?

When you book activities, you must be sure to click the "confirm" button, or it's not saved.

There are reports that there may be wait lists (or extra tickets) once onboard for some of those onboard activities. Head for Guest Services and they can direct you (if it's not listed in the Navigator you get in the terminal).

Thanks for the info re: guest services! Yes, I definitely hit "confirm". What was happening was odd. When I first booked it, it wasn't appearing. So I went back in, and tried to book it again, and got a "you already have this booked" message. Then it WAS appearing. Now it seems to have disappeared again. Bummer. I wonder if I got some sort of other confirmation...

Usually, when I confirm an activity, I also get a confirmation email from DCL.

We just learned tonight (and too late) that you can now reserve tastings on-line. They are all booked. :sad2:
We always booked them on the first day without a problem. I do hope they have new openings to sign up for on the first day.

Can't wait for Nov 6 out of PC! :hourglass

I would have to think that the tastings are too much of a money maker for Disney to not offer several that are available once you actually board. Check the navigator that you receive when you arrive at the port.

Right?? I could've SWORN when I was first poking around that cruise website I didn't see the option to book them, I would've done it right away! Here's hoping there are way more...

THANK you!!! Where do I go to book them, do you know? I'm adding it to the "to do once on board" list!!!

Registration will be at Guest Services or Port Adventures and will be listed in the Navigator.

Not if you're on the Fantasy. Registration for classes on the Fantasy is usually in La Piazza. It has been every time I've cruised the Fantasy.

Mixology class was fantastic! My husband also went to the bourbon tasting. Each of these classes had "no shows" and were available.
We booked both on board (Fantasy). Some were sold out, but there were many openings over the week. I'm sure you will get into something.

You're right!! I found it! ...I'll send them an email.

This happened to my sister with an excursion. She got the confirmation e-mail and then somehow the system lost her reservation anyway. She called DCL, and the first thing they said was that they were sorry but it was now all booked and they couldn't make the excursion any bigger or take it from anyone who was now confirmed. But that wasn't the end of the story. In a few days they contacted her again and told her that her and her family were all set. I'm not sure how they did it, maybe they moved her to the top of the waiting list since cancelling her was their fault.

Take home message is that even though you did register, there is no guarantee, but they will probably work it out for you.

Also, several of the tastings and the M&Gs had lots of no shows, so you might still be in luck even for the things you don't have reservations for.

Good luck!

There are only a few of the tastings available to book online (we found this out on our August 2nd cruise). Only one was listed each day and none were the Chocolate tasting that we wanted. But when we boarded the ship, we discovered there were so many more options.

Check the navigator you receive at the port for where to book them. On the Wonder it was the Promenade Lounge. Palo was also set up at the Promenade Lounge for reservations/changes. That worked out well since we wanted a Chocolate tasting and the only one offered conflicted with our Palo brunch. So we moved over to the Palo table and changed our Palo brunch, then went back to the bar area and confirmed our Chocolate Tasting reservation :)
