First, I have to say we had an absolute great time. The weather was perfect. We did not want to come home, but who does after a Disney trip.
First day started at 3 am at TF Green airport, our flight was at 6:15 am. Thank you Disney. We then went onto Atlanta, changed planes and went onto Melbourne, yes Melbourne. Disney told me that a Mears bus would transfer us (all 15) back to Disney. I told them that I was kind of hoping for a DCL bus, and low and behold, waiting just for us was a DCL bus. Someone had said that maybe the magic would start early and it did. (small things in life make me happy!) We then took our 1 hour and 20 minute ride to the Polynesian for 4 days of fun and sun. Check in went smoothly. We got settled and headed for the pool. We were kind of tired as you can imagine. That night we had ressies at the Crystal Palace at 8:50pm. We did not know if we would stay awake til then, but we managed. It seems that once you hit Main Street that you get a burst of energy. After dinner we stayed for a while, saw the fireworks and headed back to the hotel. Monday morning we went to Whispering Canyon Cafe for breakfast. We found it a little pricey as with all the sit down meals, but you pay for atmosphere. Then off to Epcot. We were with my sister and her 4 kids (10-16) and my two 16 & 12. Well, we get into Epcot and the kids decide that they want to go to BB instead so my sister, the sweetheart that she is, took all the kids to BB so that DH and myself could tour Epcot by ourselves. What a treat. We had planned on doing "Drinks Around the World" and got to the margaritas in Mexico and quit. But we had a great time anyway. We later met up with my sister and the kids, had dinner at the Chinese fast food stand and then watched Illuminations. We went back to the hotel and crashed. In previous years when we traveled to Disney we would be in "Disney mode" which meant up very early, to bed very late. We found this time we could not keep that pace. Must be old age creeping up on us. Plus with the crowds, the days became very tiring. I will never go on a holiday week again! We are use to the shorter lines.
Tuesday- We headed for MGM. The kids and my daring sister went on Rock n Rollercoaster. They said it was awesome. Did Tower of Terror, then Backlot tour. We ate at the 50's Prime Time for lunch and again found it to be pricey. But it was fun and worth it. The food was good.
Well I'll post the rest latter.
Bye for now!
