Ok, I am probably being an enabler with this post, but I just had to share the wonderful deals that I got at Target today. I hadn't even planned on stopping there, since I feel like poo (nothing like ANOTHER upper respiratory infection), but I'm glad I did.

I went to the scrapbooking aisle to see all of the new papers, albums, etc. The new Marcella and Kay stuff is beautiful! But in order to put in all the new stuff they had to get rid of the old stuff, right? So I look on the end cap of the aisle... they had the Colorbok "Perfect Albums" for 30% off (both 8X8 and 12X12). Not cheap enough for me yet, so I didn't get any. Then I just start looking around. I go to the end caps where they put all the clearance stuff like photo albums, frames, etc. and BAM! There I found all kinds of stuff. Packs of cardstock with twenty-five sheets each on clearance for $2.44, buttons, epoxy tiles and domes, and some Jolee's embellishments. I picked up three packs of cardstock, some epoxy tiles, and some 8 1/2 X 11" office supply things that could hold stickers, die-cuts, or something (on clearance for $2.78).

I get to the checkout and the lady starts ringing up my stuff. Well, it turns out that the cardstock rings up at $.77 per pack and the epoxy tiles were only $.44 per pack!!!!! WOW!!!!

I am now just mad at myself that I didn't go back and get more tiles (I got all of the paper that they had)!

Wow! You found some really great deals!

I do the same thing all the time--either I don't get what I'm looking at, or I don't go back and get more of what I found in the same trip. I guess that's a bit of a sickness, too. I do say though, I love it when I get to the check out and things ring up much cheaper than they were marked. I feel like I've really scored big when that happens. :flower:

No, we won't take your news as an enabling post. Let's just say that you were passing on a little bit of "good news". ;)

found the chalk set for 74 cents... bought some cute shoelaces too to use in the scrapbook for easter (they have big round circles in springy colours and were 1.99 for 45 inches, which is enough to get onto at least 4 pages. :) ) they had some really cute shoelaces... on a side hanging thing in shoes, they also have some cute ribbon in the girls hair section... it's 2.99, haven't bought that yet, but thinking I might go back for the red, white and blue selection. they also have it in pastels... (see how bad it is to read 2peas?) maggie

Maggie you are not helping me at all. I leave for Disney in 2 months. Would like to be able to spend some money there. :earsgirl:

found some very cute backpack tags today at target. they are not on sale (I know, I know) but they were only 1.99 so... Anyhow you get 5 tags that are probably 1.5 inches tall and an inch wide with girly saying on them in pretty cool colours. they are chipboard I think.... they would be great on a girl page. maggie
