The "ignore" button may only work temporarily, just as the "boot" button keeps a player out of your room for a short period of time. I don't think the "ignore" button can be used as a permanent solution.
There's no reason to keep a player on your list who makes you feel uncomfortable. Take this seriously. Make it clear that you don't want to spend time with him and you don't want him following you. (You're under no obligation to explain why.) Then if he refuses to abide by your wishes, VMK will have a record of it.
If he continues to follow you around, that can be considered harassment, which is a violation of the VMK house rules and grounds for reporting.
