I just recently started a section on my tumblr called Snack's, Snack's and felt like sharing the first article about how to avoid the corn dog cart line at Disneyland.

If you are like me one of the greatest things about Disneyland is the wonderful SNACKS!! There are so many different options from healthy to deep fried, from the luxury of club 33 to the simplicity of the popcorn cart. Walking around Disneyland is a snacker’s paradise! But with great snacks come long lines :-( So in the first ever installment of "Snack’s, Snack’s" I’m going to help you avoid the line for one of Disneyland’s most popular Snack’s. The Corn Dog!!

Are you excited? I know I am :-)

The hand dipped deep fried golden goodness of a Disneyland corn dog is something everyone visiting the parks should experiences and over 3,000 people a day do!! That’s over 1 Million corn dogs a year! If a million people are eating them they must be worth trying, right? Of course they are!
Now I know what you’re thinking “Snack that corn dog cart line is killer! There is no way I’m waiting 45mins for a corn dog, no matter how good it is.” and you know what, I agree. No one should have to wait in a long line for the deliciousness of the corn dog, but what can we do? Well I’ll tell you, not everyone knows this but hidden away in frontier land is another location that sell the same golden delicious corn dog but without the long line! No way, you say? Yes, way! Stage Door Cafe located to the right of the Golden Horseshoe is the place to go for corn dogs.

They have multiple lines and shady patio seating looking out over The Rivers of America, so you can eat your corn dog with a view. Even better on hot day’s you can buy your corn dog at Stagedoor, take a left and enjoy it inside the Golden Horseshoe where you will find A/C and possibly catch a live show!

So there you have it folks, how to enjoy the wonderful Disneyland corn dog without the line. I hope you enjoyed the first installment of Snack’s, Snack’s! Keep an eye out because next time I’m going to give you a little hint on how to get that tasty frozen treat the Dollwhip without… you guessed it, the long line :-)

Keep Snacking everyone!

I didn't know this! nice :) Also, don't forget that they have the corn dogs in DCA also, and I don't seem to encounter lines there..plus there is nice seating nearby!

Brilliant - I love that you love corn dogs enough to make a thread about them :lmao:

Thanks for the tip! I LOVE LOVE LOVE corn dogs. I cannot wait to have one!

Great info; thanks! Can you get the corn dogs a la carte at Stage Door? We've ordered items without fries there many times but haven't been in several months.

Even the DCA location can end up with a pretty decent wait, I think it took me about 20 minutes to get a corn dog there on Monday.

Will definitely put that tip to use while there this week.

Speaking of corn dogs, did you know that in the state well known for its corn farming (Iowa) you can't buy a corn dog? Well, you could if anybody sold them. We lived in Cedar Rapids, IA for a while and - not only couldn't we find them at the grocery story - but they dont even sell them at A&W! Devistating, I tell you...

DEVISTATING!!!!!

Are the corn dogs from other places as good as the ones from the cart? I remember seeing a thread a while ago (last winter maybe) about the corn dogs being better from the cart. Any confirmation on whether they are the same or not? BTW - the corn dogs from the cart on Main Street are the best ones I've ever had, so I'm hoping the others are the same!

Now I have an excuse to use with the wife for why I'm breaking the diet this weekend... "It's a Disneyland 'secret' honey... we can't pass this up!"

I think the ones in DCA are just as good, but only if you request a fresh one--the 3 times we've been since DCA corn dog hut reopened they had several corn dogs sitting uncovered and unheated right by the order window for fast service -- lukewarm corndogs are not tasty!

The corn dogs are just as good, I have heard people say "They are best from the cart" as well but honestly they are made exactly the same way with the same batter and everything.

I don't taste any difference between them :-)

Do the corn dog castle or any of the "other" corn dog shops sell the Hot link Corn Dog sold at Corn Dog Castle in DCA? The hotlink corn dog is like 10 bites of heaven!

Nice to know there is another place to get one. :thumbsup2

@Shell the corn dog castle in DCA is the only one that sells the hot link and the cheese corn dogs :-) Disneyland only sell regular corn dogs.
