Dh and I are planning a quick get-away in Feb. we have decided to avoid the value resorts , but what about the parks? Anyone have any advice?

by the way, I miss you guys! since I started school 3 weeks ago, I don't have time for anything!!!

Our experience has been they don't affect the parks. Their competition.

When you see a throng of them coming your way, turn and run. Fast. ;)

Seriously, don't even worry about it. The parks are HUGE. Plenty of room for you and the cheerleaders. :)

One December there were hundreds of cheerleaders and football players in the MK when we were there. It was actually kind of fun watching them have fun.

It's my understanding that the competitions are typically held on the weekends, and that groups will often arrive a day early (Friday) or a stay a day later (Monday) to visit the parks. Sure enough, when we were there Sunday - Friday last January, the only day we saw cheerleaders was Friday in the MK.

I would recommend avoiding MK and maybe MGM (with TOT and RnR) on Monday and Friday. I find it hard to believe that any large groups of teen girls would choose AK or Epcot for their one or two days in WDW.

I am going to be in DisneyWorld in Feb.

I am one of those cheerleaders and I will be at a compition during Mardi Gras! We compete at the Wide world of Sports Complex and it is going to be very fun!!!!!!!:D
