Avis rental after cruise

I'm planning to rent a car for the day after our cruise. How long should it take to get from the ship to Avis at the Radisson and back again? How long will the lines at Avis be?

Also, I have reserved a minivan. Has anyone ever had a problem getting the vehicle you reserved? We have 6 people and need the big vehicle.

If you're renting prior to the cruise, when you return your car to Avis at the Radisson, they may ask if you'll be renting another car upon your return from the cruise. If so, they'll allow you the option of taking care of the paperwork ahead of time. This means all you'll need to do is pick up the pre-prepared paperwork and take off. So figuring in shuttle time, a few moments in the office, a few minutes to drive back, plus a buffer, I'd estimate it would take 20-25 minutes.

We have rented a mini van three times from Avis at the Radisson and have always received it. Never had a problem. They are very acommodating there.

got our luggage, went to the Avis line and were in our car (paperwork done and all) headed for Orlando by 8:50. That includes installing 2 carseats for the kids

Piece of cake and we waited for maybe 8 minutes for the van
