Average Temp in May?

Hi

We'll be visiting DL and LA next May and are wondering what sort of clothes we'll need to bring for touring around?

Any help would be appreciated.

When in May? We were in OC/DL last April to May and we just layered up. Down to shorts and ts in during the day, but a little more bundle-y at night. We were staying right on the water in Newport, so that was a factor as well.
