I'll be traveling right by a Buc-ees location on my way to the Fort. Since I've never been in a Buc-ees location, it is imperative that I check it out. I don't want to spend an overly long amount of time there, but I do want to have the time to check out a bit of the store.

Will I be completely mesmerized by all the goodies there, the bakery, sandwich counter, tourist trap necessities? Spending more than an hour will put me a bit further behind than I'd like to be on my drive.

So, how long on average is your typical Buc-ees stop?

I just stopped in a few weeks ago for my first Buc-ee' ts visit (Brunswick GA). I am estimating I spent about 45 min to an hour, which included grabbing some food & fountain drinks go, restroom stop, refueling, and a little shopping. I purchased some stocking stuffer type items, so this added a little more time than maybe another time of year perhaps.

I would love to have that kind of restraint! I'm afraid that something like a 45 minute stop would be just a little warm-up for me....
:rotfl:

You will be in awe….lol it’s like a department store , fast food and pit stop. Best washrooms there too.

The seasonal section is great, then there is clothes to go through. A whole jerky deli , roasted nuts, the place is huge.

Definitely not a 10 minute stop…lol

It took well over an hour last time I was at this beaver’s outpost in SC heading to and from Disney. Roughly 35 ish minutes when I stopped at the one in Daytona Beach… although I didn’t eat dinner there just so I could have dinner from Disney on the first night.

My visits to Bucc-ees consists of filling the gas tank and going to the bathroom. The rest of the stuff is nice but not that important to me.

Bama ED

PS - but I will say the bathrooms are usually VERY clean and nice, worthy of a stop all by themselves. DW approves.

This is exactly what I'm afraid of!

I've been in a few super Walmart stores that have been quite overwhelming for me....time just disappears....

I'm thinking I'm in for well over an hour, too.

Never been, never will, too crowded/busy for a motorhome and toad
It is going to be a have-to for me, as I am just fascinated with the whole concept. That, and I want one of those big cinnamon rolls I've seen in pictures. I truly don't think I can drive by unless the parking situation is obviously a nightmare, which it most likely will be.

But, the big picture and most important thing of all is to get down the road, and I'm not sure how to show restraint.

I’m quick to pick. Usually I just get their chicken tenders and other not so special items… as quick as possible…

Their parking wasn’t too bad that I can remember. Transport trucks aren’t allowed there. They knew it will be a lot of trailers.

Just don’t be like some cars that get gas and go inside . Go park .

I can imagine I'll show up in a news headline....."Woman escorted from local Buc-ees after holding up line at sandwich counter and bakery for over two hours. Customers in the store say she changed her mind when ordering multiple times and showed a complete inability to make a decision regarding which sandwich she wanted and how many bakery items to get."

:oops: :oops::oops::oops: :rolleyes1:rolleyes1:rolleyes1
