Has anyone actually been successful practicing at 7 AM for WS? I’m starting to think it’s not possible but it will be when it’s the real thing

My husband was successful practicing for WS at 7 today from home. He turned off Wifi and clicked the DCA tab then join. Both my kid and I got the orange something's wrong messages at the same time.

visited the Campus yesterday -- noticed the Dr. Strange show has a set schedule, but the Spiderman demonstration/robot thing doesn't -- and we didn't notice it taking place while we were in AC from about 4:30 to 9. Does anybody know if it did do its thing during that time? Or was it down? We wanted to see it but didn't get a chance and I was curious ... since it doesn't seem to have an official public schedule.

Does it? When I asked the CM he said they didn't have a set schedule, but if you ask one of the people helping Dr Strange they can tell you when they expect to see him again. Maybe it does and they are just playing up the time shifting stuff from the show.

Yes they were added maybe 5 days ago in hopes of reducing people waiting around in the land for hours.

I tried reading and figured i would ask.... what is "the tab method" to get boarding groups? I figure it has to do with the DL or CA tabs in the virtual queue area.....but have no idea from there

Yeah it’s just clicking on the DCA tab from the DL tab right at 7 or 12 to refresh to get a BG. Or the pull-down method is where you refresh from the DCA tab

All the shows have times now in app. You may have to use the entertainment option in the park map on the app and click on them to see. The Spider-Man one has its last show for the day at 4:05pm.
Only the Dr Strange show is available in the evening.

Successful in my WS practice just barely. My strategy has been to repeatedly tap the spot the 2nd join button will appear with my right thumb while selecting a ticket as fast as possible with my left thumb (which won’t be necessary day-of). I selected my dad’s ticket and then obviously it wouldn’t give him a BG but then I went back to experiment and it said my ticket was eligible to get a BG. But I don’t have a reservation today. It didn’t work to get one since they were full when I realized this and obviously I didn’t intend to actually get one, but what a weird glitch. It didn’t select my ticket automatically though. But I definitely panicked a little and went to check to make sure I didn’t have a reservation for today lol

We got in today at noon! Totally in shock as we failed both times on Sat…Sun our Rise boarding was at 11:59…so we couldn’t try for WS. We even asked the Rise attendant if they would let us in a few mins early to clear and she told us we could have both…I knew that was wrong…Guest Services confirmed she was wrong and there was nothing they could do to help.

My son is 8 and loved WS…bought a Spider Bot…and his favorite is GOTG. We saw the Spider-Man show and Black Widow/Panther fighting…we had dinner reservations at 5:30 so we didn’t hang around any longer. All the little details are cool but my DH and DS could care less.

Of course by that time it was full. I'm really, really hoping some of the delay is because I don't have reservations in the park and it was trying to figure it out.

For those of you who have both practiced and done it in real life, did there seem to be a bigger delay for spinning when you were practicing or is it just me?

I’m having the same problem. I’ve always been successful practicing at noon and I’ve never been successful at 7 because it just keeps spinning

I just had my first real glitch using the tab method. When I clicked on the DCA tab, the Disneyland queues continued to display on the screen. I touched the screen in a couple spots to get it to update, but was too late to get through.

After always failing at 7 for WS in test runs, I just had a successful run using tab method (clicking over from ROTR BG tab at precisely the stroke of 7:00:00 using atomic clock). Was surprised it even worked as it hadn’t yet in numerous attempts.

Personally, working in IT and technology my whole life, I do think there is such a thing as "practicing too much". If you've been successful a few times during practice and have watched YouTube videos on the process, than you already know what to do. At some point you just have to trust the method and hopefully have some luck involved.

I've seen first hand people practice too much, put too much pressure on themselves...…where at that point, it becomes counter productive. Just my 2 cents.

DH and I got up to help out my sister and her family this morning an DH got through first forWS #36. She was so happy (this is after they didn’t get Rise at 7 yesterday so I got them one at noon). DH used pull down and I did tab. I was right behind him but he went a hair faster at 59:59 than me.

If you are having someone help you get boarding groups that are not in the park can they be logged into my account? Do my tickets need to be part of their party? Just my daughter and I are going and I was going to have me DH help from home.
